Sad to see the decline of once a great business to work for.
The good thingsThere are some really good people who work there. A lot of learning opportunities. Pay is overall good on average.
The challengesManagement understanding in terms of people management, open communication and how the business operates when making on-going changes. There has been a lot of change fatigue and resignations due to poor upper management.

Used to be a good company, gone down the drain though.
The good thingsThe people, the flexibility (for certain roles), the understanding that life happens, the different personalities throughout who aren't forced into a 'fit in box', fair number of employees so most people do find that coworker they gel with and can vent too.
The challengesManagement, little to no training, if someone who doesn't scream and shout you are forgotten about, little to no support, no transparency and bad communication, HR and management sweep issues under the rug (even massive ones), can be clicky and gossipy, and prior to leaving a fair amount of backstabbing.

Not recommended. There is a reason why NPE is always advertising for positions. Revolving door
The good thingsLearnt some new skills & gained experience working on pumps.
The challengesHigh staff turnover, new supervisors and managers every couple of months. Very few people are actually skilled at this company. Over the top HSEQ. Workshop was always messy & untidy and no-one cared.

    #1 Worst place to work
The good thingsGetting out of the place was a relief
The challengesToxic culture that rewards bad behaviour. There’s no point raising concerns because it will be downplayed.

Frustrating and annoying place to work.
The good thingsThe only good thing is the good fun banter between the workers on the floor, a lot of jokes are about the company though.
The challengesBad pay rate, management have no idea what's happening in the workshops, so very far behind in technology, won't provide any extra training, won't provide tools needed to do the jobs correctly. Overall an unhappy and frustrating place to work.

Learnt a lot, but I dreaded the drive into work every day.
The good thingsThe salary was generous, and the work was diverse and enjoyable
The challengesThe culture was challenging, verging on toxic at times. This was something that was discussed but not actioned. Training was non-existent.

Everyday is a different day at NPE, and it's great.
The good thingsNPE is a great company to work for. From day one, the staff here have bee very welcoming, friendly and have made me feel like part of the team. It has great company culture and there's plenty of work that needs to be done, which keeps me busy, good busy.
The challengesI haven't had many challenges except for remembering who's who, and having enough hours in the day to complete jobs.

    Very poor treatment by management
The good thingsSome good people to work with, depending on the department you are working in
The challengesManagement was very bad; my direct supervisor was one of the worst I have ever worked for. Higher managers did not seem to care about any of my complaints.

If only they cared for their employees. Maybe then the long term workers would have never left. High staff turnover for positions lower than management.
The good thingsEnjoyed my recent position and what it entailed.
The challengesCertain people in management were amazing, however if you weren't considered a manager you were considered 'nothing' You were never heard nor appreciated.

The good thingsNPE is a lovely place to work for, everyone is really friendly and welcoming. Fast past and constantly busy, always keeping me on my toes and challenging me to do better at work.
The challengesThe only thing I’ve found difficult is remembering everyone’s name.

Though I spontaneously resigned in my previous role (where I was happy) to come onboard with NPE, I haven't one regrettable experience to account.
The good thingsThe people are great to work with, everybody is really friendly & welcoming, it truly feels like you're part of the family. Also the opportunity for advancement within the workplace is definitely ascertainable.
The challengesExceeding expectations and receiving recognition.

Exciting and fun getting to know everybody and learning about the equipment.
The good thingsNPE has many good things to offer but mainly the great team environment, I have been made feel extremely welcome and received plenty of patience and training. Everybody is willing to help one another and everybody has a great attitude. I have also really enjoyed learning about the equipment and jobs that we do and the team have been fantastic in training me and involving me in the whole process.
The challengesI don't have any real challenges, maybe just learning all of the different pieces of equipment and parts but that will come in time and everybody here is helpful and happy to teach me things and explain things clearly.

    A workplace you call HOME.
The good thingsNPE is is not just a place to work, its a second home where you look forward to coming in everyday.
The challengesChasing money in general can be quite challenging at times. You will always have the good with the bad, but when the bad comes, having the right attitude and demeanor, seems to always lead to an acceptable turn out.

The challengesBeing in IT, as is always the case in IT, some days are harder than others. However these are far out-weighed by the good days.

You're worth how much you're currently bringing into the company.
The good thingsThose that run each department are trusted in their decisions.
The challengesNo support from management as there are a lot of decisions made behind closed doors. Expectation to hustle once management have made decisions without consulting key stakeholders.
