The best job I’ve had in my entire 20 years of life.
The good thingsIt would be easier if I described what I haven’t enjoyed. And the answer to that is nothing, everything about the job is amazing.
The challengesProbably the software systems we use to navigate our sales.

A concerning culture where gossiping, negativity and passive aggression is rife
The good thingsFree coffee on duty and some interesting, if unnecessary coffee knowledge
The challengesThe main point of sale software that was used was easily the least user-frendly and least intuitive i have ever come across. Its beyond fit for purpose.

    Don’t waste your time .
The good thingsVariety of coffee and the interesting clientele. Easy role if you enjoy the people interaction and believe in the brand itself.
The challengesIt is the most toxic and unprofessional place you could possibly imagine. The gossip and bad behaviour is ripe.So called management is there based on their time with the company and not much else. No people skills, no idea how to manage or motivate staff or conduct themselves in professional manner. Nothing to learn here.

Love the product and delivered a very good job and custoner service at all times, however not recognised by manager because they didnt like a feedback I gave about moving from counter service to self-selection. Very disappointing.
The good thingsProduct knowledge training is superb. Peers are generally passionate about coffee and Nespresso, you learn a lot with training modules that are far from boring and useless. Unlimited coffee to drink at your shifts and minthly allowance on Nespresso products that is very decent.
The challengesGood pay only on a casual basis, very challenging pay rate for full-time or part-time. Very limited opportunities for career progression. Some boutiques have a great team while others not so much. Manager isnt welcoming to feedback, after years in the company as a casual and 2 years as part-time, I was told I was being negative and a bad influence on the team when warning of the bad side of a change in the boutique style that I have experienced previously within the company.

    Management needs improvement.
The good thingsWages slightly higher than other retail. staff perks and benefit are genorous.
The challengesWork/Life won't balanced at all if you work as a full-timer. Management leads bad examples and judge staffs with different standards which demand you to follow the rules that they not even followed.

Friendly environment and great career progression
The good thingsSalary package is higher then the average retail wage Great discount on machines Good bonus Great team Plenty of room for growth
The challengesSalary review wasn't as much as expected Regional manager has clearly never worked as a sales assistant and doesn't understand our reality on the sales floor Poor design of new concept store

Fun work environment for the sales teams but Too much expectation on the leadership teams with not enough support.
The good thingsThe people are fun and enjoyable to be around
The challenges- Budget cuts across the board have resulted in significant understaffing of multiple sites and an overall cheapening of products - lack of organisation within immediate management and it’s senior leaders results in messy and unorganised product/promotional launches & sloppy operational practices.

    Great people I’ve worked with.
The good thingsIf you have great people working with you, your job will be much more fun and easy
The challengesNespresso have cut back on staff benefits which is a shame. Also no career development across different departments I.e from boutiques to head office. Also management don’t really help in getting you experience into head office. KPI’s are also ridiculous it is hard to achieve

A professional place to work, particularly good if you want to work in retail and give good service.
The good thingsI worked in the Boutique and it was pretty a good team. The work is very easy and they give you all the support and training if you want it.
The challengesPeople being treated unfairly is a big one, it never happened to me but I saw a few staff members that were treated and it made it really hard for to stay. Management ignored the situation or made it out like it was the person who being treated badly that was at fault. This was a common theme across a few stores. Boutique Managers are usually pretty weak and can not handle this type of issue. The company also expected you to stay forever and put all of your resources in the one job.

Great place to work, great people and good atmosphere with as much coffee as you wanted!
The good thingsGreat workplace, all treated equally very divers and equal opportunity workplace. Everyone was respected and there were always team building activities happening.
The challengesBeing on the phones were tedious, especially working in the technical team, it wasn't for me, but as you move up, you can move onto other positions.

Do not do it- even for the money
The good thingsMoney. That’s it. And the fellow staff were nice, but again it probably does not outweigh the benefits
The challengesEverything. Management are terrible and do nothing. Unequal in their punishment and treatment of staff. It’s hard when the money is great but you are depressed working there

The good thingsOther staff you work with.
The challengesLots of talk about training and support to get you to your goals, yet no time or training invested in team members except self learning online. Clicky culture encouraged by managements behaviours.

Excellent pay, great coffee, good team, bland robotic boring environment.
The good thingsExcellent salary packaging, opportunities to develop your career through loyalty to the company, great training, company benefits, everything is adhered to in terms of safety standards, workplace regulations etc. very professional environment.
The challengesBoutique is the most bland, robotic boring job imaginable. Standing in a small confined space all hours of the day doing the same repetitive tasks is enough to drive anyone insane. In order to work your way up the career ladder you're basically required to stay at the boutique for over 4 years working up to a management position before you'd be able to consider going over to a corporate or senior position. I personally could never handle that much boredom or monotony.

I loved working for this company and highly recommend it. I liked feeling valued and enjoyed he high level of presentation and standard of service that I could provide to the over all satisfaction of customers.
The good thingsA company that really looks after staff and want to provide a long term job. Career opportunities are there for the people that want to work towards building a long lasting career but it’s also a great place to work if you are looking for a part time or casual position. A great team morale is paramount to this company and they strive to make sure everyone is happy
The challengesSome days can be a Little day in day out. Repetition can become boring.

Nespresso has provided me with great opportunities and development. I have great support from my line manager (Victorian regional manager)
The good thingsHas helped me develop my skill set from customer service focused role into management. And further providing opportunities for movement into different networks of the company (e.g. B2B Account Management)
The challengesThe software is in serious need of an upgrade, such things as an integrated POS system would ease the pressure on staff RE: financial variances, stocktake etc.

So many opportunities and such a diverse team to work with. I've learned so much since starting with Nespresso I'm mind blown at the attention to detail and opportunity for success within this company.
The good thingsWorking for Nespresso is incredibly rewarding and offers many avenues for improvement. It is a retail environment so work/life balance is difficult but the job is incredibly rewarding with a great management team to back up the boutiques. Opportunities for advancement within the company come along fairly often and all staff are encouraged to apply for these opportunities when they arise.
The challengesIt's retail, you work weekends and some late nights. But that's retail! Standing on your feet all day can be exhausting so make sure you have a good comfortable pair of shoes.

The challengesWorking through an agency and not directly for Nespresso.
