    Good from within the internal team but inter department collaboration is frowned upon. We know what's best always don't question anything
    The good thingsSmall teams, close to Towoomba
    The challengesNepotism is rife & very much a closed door for outsiders to implement best practice. No long term succession planning from a staff perspective. Don't be fooled by smiles & seemingly good will as progress is only made if willing to fall in line, all change is regarded as hostile if not from within.

    The good thingsFantastic Culture. Real family feel to the work environment. Flexible around work. Inclusive. Down to earth.
    The challengesNot a lot really. Yes, you can get more money at other companies but you have to sell your soul or personality to get it. Its not like that here. Its market rate but good incentives.

    The good thingsSafety and values are important I go home to my family every day safely and I'm treated and treat others with respect.

    The good thingsAlthough I retired there 5 years ago I had a good 3 years There equipment was good and the work environment was average because of some cowboys, but the industry is now weeding them out. Overall a good place to work
    The challengesThe roster was good . Night shift was the challenge I lived to far from home to commute so stayed at the willowbank caravan park The Amberley jets taking off would not let you sleep well in the day .That made Night shift hard.

    The Exit interview is very important for the departing employees as well as the employer in encouraging a positive culture.

    Awesome mining company to work for that prioritise work/life balance
    The good thingsAwesome work environment. Work/life balance. Great management team. People are friendly no matter what their position titles are.
    The challengesNHG is the only Mining company I worked for that put so much emphasis on work life balance. The only challenge I had there was to learn how they do things in the first two weeks!

    The challengesCorporate Office is located at Brookwater which is a long way from the CBD, not much room for career progression as is a relatively small company, old school management but it is changing.
