    Great pay but immature practices
The good things- Pay - People - Technology
The challenges- Big tech dept - Not feeling valued - Toxic culture - Not feeling supported by leadership - Lack of transparency by leadership - No real processes and/or procedures in place. Everyone is making it up as they go. - Mental health was suffering and ultimately no matter how well they pay, being miserable 95% of the time is not worth it.

Great company, great site, fantastic people
The good thingsThe team and company support. Being a residential site, everyone looks out for each other. There are lots of opportunity to grow as well.
The challengesChanges within the business has been hard over the past few years. We are out the other side of this now and are looking forward to things settling down and being able to focus on the task at hand.

Worst site I have ever worked at
The good thingsThe money - but the money isn’t worth the negative effect on your mental health that this site brought.
The challengesWhere do I start. Tanami has one of the highest turnover of employees in Australia. The accommodation was despicable. The food was terrible. The planes used need to be upgraded and food provided on the flights and they need to take fatigue into consideration. There is no quality management system. There is no project management system. There is a constant turnover of managers at all levels. There are no position descriptions or KPI’s given to achieve. Everyone just works as they please with no direction or structure. Avoid at all costs.

The challengesDeal with the incompetent Newmont management and collages. Maybe I just was unlucky with the shift I had to work with.

    Challenging and educational mining experience.
The good thingsClose proximity to Perth and the equal time roster.
The challengesHuge corporate mining company that says all the right things but struggles to deliver on some basic principles. Very challenging mining conditions with a revolving door of managers and ideals. No continuity from one manager or crew to the next. No support within management.

All in all, I would work for Newmont again if there was a position for me.
The good thingsThe benefits that you get with Newmont is absolutely fantastic, it is worlds apart from any company that I have worked for in the past.
The challengesThe new management can be a challenge. The old culture has been taken away by the old management. The new management do not really work together properly as a team which can be difficult at times.
