I thoroughly enjoyed my time with NexiaThe good thingsThe team I worked with were great! Even though COVID-19 hit, we experienced phone catch ups twice a day that were not all necessarily work focused - a lot of the time they were social, just to have that interaction similar to in the office.
The directors are always easy to approach - and give you that responsibility to take charge of client work.
Work-life balance was a walk in the park. There was hardly ever a time where I needed to work overtime as the expectations were always realistic to achieve. Even when we were forced to work from home due to COVID-19, we were highly encouraged to clock off on time and enjoy the rest of our day. I really appreciated hearing that from management.
The challengesThe software we used was a bit out dated (MYOB). And working from home should have been more of an option to begin with (much like what they do at the big 4). However, with covid-19 and the fact that Nexia had to start working from home, I believe this will be more of an option going forward - as they now have the capabilities.
