Initially promising and very quickly descending to unmotivating and disillusioning, This is a retirement job at best, for anyone who doesn't need the money.
The good thingsAutonomy of determining your own work scheduale
The challengesVery low pay for the role; Management are bound by global policies from USA and have an oberall "our hands are tied, there's nothing we can do"; No bonus scheme; no insentives to perform beyond expectation; Constant criticism for not achieving what are unrealistic management goals; Incompetence

If it seems too good to be true in the interview, it probably is - so look for the fine print!
The good thingsIt’s easy work if you don’t want to work a lot or if you don’t have much ambition. Other techs are really good guys who are very relatable and helpful. On the surface management seem very much like they want you to succeed.
The challengesTechnology that isn’t the most reliable and is very ‘clumsy’, but unfortunately you will need to use it as a part of the job. Still getting paid monthly. If you’re used to a job that is technically and/or physically stimulating/challenging, this isn’t necessarily a good fit.

I found the people who work at Nielsen Globally all want the same thing - results of the fruits of your labour.
The good thingsThe opportunity to always be learning through classroom or on line training courses. Diversity range of cultures employed.
The challengesTo stand out and be recognised for your work - lots of competition around you. Maybe bonuses to be shared from top tier to bottom tier - it’s the bottom tier who actually perform the outcomes.

Due to poor management, business's performance has been bad, leading to unmotivated employees. Employees are leaving business, but due to poor performance, business don't hire new employees leaving more and more work load to existing employees.

Great business with fantastic people, just needs a more stable and clear structure.
The good thingsGreat work life balance. All management are very flexible when it comes to working hours & arrangements, provided you're meeting/ exceeding your targets. I found Nielsen provided all the tools to get your job done.
The challengesManagement structure continually changing and business always restructuring as people come and go. I had many line managers during my short time there while still being in the same role. This was due to the business constantly changing the dept I was part of. It is also common to have dual line manager's, one local and another offshore. Managing expectations between them can be challenging. Job security was also a concern due to the constant restructures.
