Not the worst out there but too much performance without substance
The good thingsGood coworkers bonded by shared hardships. A lot of EVP that is talked about but never delivered. Good intentions by some.
The challengesMoney is low comparatively. So much talk but very little action. Lots of lies from the top. Lots of political game players. In leadership there's very few that know much but they'll succeed if they play the game. Very Orwellian.

    Great potential, incredibly unrealistic expectations
The good thingsMeeting good mates and handing in my resignation
The challengesManagement style and expectations requires a dramatic overhaul. Managers are completely out of touch with workers on the floor and do not stand up for them. 60+ hour weeks were consistently expected as the 'standard', not taking into account peoples personal lives outside of work. Breaches in overall safety an wellbeing of workers was consistent and when overtime was cut, they wondered why tasks could not be completed in a standard 8 hour time frame.

    Amazing best place to work
The good thingsFlexible so when children get sick or hurt you can leave if required. It’s also easy and not stressful
The challengesThey could make it easier to meet the insensitive mark , I do believe they are in the process of doing this at the moment
Appreciate your FeedbackThank you for highlighting the flexibility we offer. We understand how important it is for parents to be able to respond quickly when their children are unwell or injured, and we’re glad this support has made a difference for you. It’s also great to hear that you find the work environment easy to manage and not stressful. We appreciate your feedback regarding the incentive mark. We recognise that it can be challenging at times, and improving this process is something we’re actively working on. Your comments reinforce the importance of making the incentive structure clearer and more achievable, and it’s helpful to know these changes are being noticed.

Empowered, Inspired, and Growing Together: A Truly Inclusive Workplace
The good thingsI am incredibly proud to be a part of O'Brien family. From the moment, I joined, I've felt supported, valued, and challenged to grow both professionally and personally. The leadership team fosters a culture of innovation and inclusion, ensuring that every voice is heard to make an impact.
The challengesWhile the fast-paced environment at O'Brien can sometimes feel overwhelming, its also what drives me to continually grow and improve. It's challenging, but in the best way possible.

The good thingsThe people. I work in a wonderful team where we work together helping each other achieve targets. In my role I get to help people achieve their goals which is personally rewarding. There are a lot of good people with long tenure. Must be doing something right as a business.
The challengesLazy individual that feel entitled to everything but not will to put in the hard yards and earn respect from peers. Its always someone else fault.

Arrogance from an industry leader reflected in how it treats its staff..
The good thingsDecent starting point if you want to grow your career in account management or business development for a recoginsed brand
The challenges*No career progression in commercial team, all hires in senior management/exec are completed externally. Do not join expecting otherwise. * Low engagement scores/complaints about managers not acknowledged and all feedback for a better working environment were continuosly ignored. * Lack of skills development * Ideas / strategies not fostered within team environment. * No CRM to capture client interactions

I would not recommend working here, take your time to read the reviews. You will see one consistent theme here, management, egos and a toxic workplace environment you will want to stay clear of.
The good thingsSome of the customer accounts you will work with are brilliant, however unfortunately the management (apart from a select one or two) are really detrimental to personal growth. I found the culture here questionable, not supportive in any way.
The challengesStyle of management here is outdated, rather than supporting staff and encouraging growth, the tactics used here are really detrimental.

Great company to work for, the HR team and wider team are really supportive and the company is true to its values. One of the best companies I have worked for in my career! Keep up the amazing work!
The good thingsOne of the best companies, I have worked for in my career. Even though I was only on contract for under 4 months, my experience was extremely positive. My Manager allowed me to be my own person and supported me in learning the business to ensure I provided the results need for the business to grow. The company has a great WFH policy and it really supported me to have a work-life balance, even being able to work from my country cottage. The people in the HR team only want the best for the business and employees and it shows in the work they do.
The challengesWorking in HR/Recruitment, each day is different and at times there are competing deadlines but this is normal in this industry.

The good thingsGenuine company that cares about their employees. Great home and work balance.workforce planning team very understanding. Big company with opportunity to move up or work in different departments. The biggest plus was during the pandemic there was a lot uncertainty. Obrien Staff and Management were very transparent with everything going on within the company, And gave me confidence and job security.

5 years and still here, surely that is a good sign right !!
The good thingsI work with one of the best Team's from my own experience, my boss has allowed me to be my own person and supported me in discovering my potential, whilst helping me to grow. In terms of my own personal life work is very flexible in helping to support unplanned events when needed. During Covid-19 the company did really well also which I commend them on.
The challengesCareer Development is a bit of a challenge in my perspective, whilst the company supports development there isn't an abundant number of roles available to be promoted to or work towards.

Any job here is a good stopping point, while actively seeking a career.
The good thingsThe office has air conditioning, which was generally of a very nice temperature.
The challengesEverything was a challenge, the job was a very easy role in it's self, However, project leaders and management have a very one track mind, even if it is the slowest, hardest and longest way to achieve goals, it was the one they wished to stick to as it was the one they thought of, no one else's input was even considered even if proven more efficient and beneficial.
