It was ridiculous, management had unrealistic expectations treating workers horribly and little feedback was given if you made mistakes, you were expected to know everything when all training was done online. Just dodgy.
The good thingsWorkers were great and quite welcoming
The challengesManagement was hopeless Lack of training Lack of understanding Unrealistic expectations Mistreatment of employees Little room for mistakes Fire you instead of telling you what you did wrong Low Wage Low amount of shifts No option to join a union

An okay place to work, but go ahead at your own risk.
The good thingsShort shifts, gave time to focus on studies.
The challengesToo much pressure from managers, zero flexibility in adjusting shift timings, no single chain of command.

Don't let management ruin your job :/
The good things- Staff were always great to work with - Reasonable discounts on food - If you enjoy customer service, you'll enjoy dealing with the customers
The challenges- Shift Supervisors and Crew Trainers were always asked to do more than what the job description said they had to do - Depending on what store you choose, management can mistreat you. Make sure you can stand up for yourself.

Working at Oporto was fun but not a long time investment for me.
The good thingsWorking there provided amazing coworkers and working with a variety of customers gave an abundance of new experiences.
The challengesThe perks are kind of lacking, you get paid for the job but that's it. No amazing discounts or perks by working there.

The challengesThe occasional rude customer, peak times were very busy so you need to be fast & multitask heaps.

As for my work experience, I have worked as a shop assistant and a Double Bondi artist.
The good thingsWorking in a restaurant teaches us skills that are essential to life, such as multitasking and patience. Apart from that, I have enjoyed so much serving the customers.
The challengesI have not seen much other than the management, as we had to be sometimes so busy for the occasions.
