Avoid! Toxic upper management, no support for overworked staff. Sell you the world but they do not deliver.
The good thingsLoved the people I worked with on the same level.
The challengesMicro management, no support, toxic upper management and lack of flexibility

A great company to work for with a supportive team and plenty of opportunities for growth
The good thingsThe whole team is very friendly and supportive! There’s plenty of training to help you develop in your role, and the income opportunities are great too.
The challengesOne challenge can be the occasional need to work overtime or on days off, but this is never forced. It’s always a choice for the employee, and they can decide if it’s worth it for them based on their own workload and goals.

They did not care about work-life balance and they hinder you in doing your job by trying to micro-manage everything
The good thingsSalary was around standard
The challengesTheir attempts at micro-managing every aspect of the role and having too much workload forced upon a 40 hour paid job

Overall, working for a building company who pride themselves on family and team work they have disappointed not only myself but many other. Team culture is horrible and I’m surprised I lasted as long as I did. Would recommend taking reviews seriously and asking all the right questions in the interview to avoid being mislead and disappointed.
The good thingsCannot think of one. Extremely disappointing experience.
The challengesNo having fairness within the company, unwilling to assist staff members and horrible team culture.

A great family business that provides a supportive working environment whilst challenging me as a staff member to assist in professional improvement.
The good thingsSince joining the "Orbit Family" I have really enjoyed getting back into a business that is more hands on than some of the roles I have had in the past. It enables me to spend more time with the team and provide end to end solutions that assist us in providing a great customer experience whilst providing opportunity for other staff I work with.
The challengesThings have been so busy (which is great) that sometimes its a little difficult to work on the business rather than in it.

Would have to be the worse building company to work for but the best to pay what was owed.
The good thingsThey were to their word when it come to paying your commissions in full after leaving.
The challengesGetting what you needed to sell, Office staff in main head office new everything without asking the most important people in the company, the sales consultants on the frontline..

Not the worse place I have worked but certainly not the best either.
The good thingsThe staff in general were good people.
The challengesVery antiquated and set in their ways. Not very receptive to change as management have been doing it that way for 30 years so why would we change.

Great company. Place to be proud of hard to get buyers invested in product
The good thingsQuality builder. Family run business so you know everyone quick. Work Hours are great. Salary plus commission means some security and uncapped earnings
The challengesSmall builder. Very competitive market and slow months mean little or no income over base wage.
