A role that gives meaning to your life.
The good thingsCaring for the elderly in their own homes is very satisfying. To know you can make a difference and that you are appreciated makes this job worthwhile. Oxley are a great team to work for, coordinators excellent, always supportive.
The challengesSome challenging behaviours. Financially difficult as there is no travelling allowance and no compensation for wear and tear by using your own vehicle.

My experience at Oxley has been such a positive one that I would recommend my family and friends to use this service themselves.
The good thingsThe best thing about OxleyHome Care would be the management team that looks after you while you are at work. They are all so nice, and supportive. The standard that this company has set for its employees especially during the pandemic has been fantastic at keeping everyone safe.
The challengesIf you are looking for consistent hours this could be an issue as it is dependent on the client

The good thingsIt is a good company with qualified personnel and there is always someone to turn to in a special case.
The challengesWhen I arrive at a clients house, and I don’t find them there or I can’t go inside the house, and I feel scared to why they aren’t responding.

The good thingsFamily owned and run company that care about their employees and clients. They have always given me the opportunity to develop and grow my skills and progress within the company.
The challengesThe main challenge I have experienced is the amount and variety of different types of work from day to day. It has been a steep learning curve as the Home Care industry is so vast but it has helped to develop time management, quick thinking and multitasking skills as well as the ability to converse with people from all different walks of life.
