A great, supportive and appreciative company
The good thingsSuch a supportive, appreciative company who truly values each and every employee. I haven’t had a work/life balance for years and it is the best feeling to be able to have that back now. Petit is a company that re-instills hope for the Early Childhood Education sector, of how we can enjoy our job each and every day!

The good thingsAt Petit, I appreciate our supportive management and corporate office. There is a real commitment to work/life balance and I feel supported in realising my Centre's philosophy.
The challengesI wish there were more Petit centres in the Melbourne area.

Best Early childcare provider I have worked for, supportive environment and management.
The good thingsPetit has created a company where the children and the educators are at the forefront of everything they do. There are so many opportunities for professional development and career progression. Regardless of your position within the company, you are treated as a valuable member of the team and your voice is heard.
The challengesThere are always going to be challenges in the ECEC Sector, however these are not company specific.

Petit ELJ Murwillumbah is a beautiful centre and a very supportive environment
The good thingsThis service is honestly the best service I have worked at in early childhood education and care. The educators are supported and this flows through to the care of the children. Children and families are the focus. Beautiful environment and well resourced.
The challengesThere are no challenges that I face, only typical daily ones that pop up.

I feel connected to every individual at Petit.
The good thingsI have just finished visiting all our Centres and the energy and engagement with our team are amazing. Anyone interested in working in the childcare sector should pop into Petit for a tour. Once you meet the team, you won't want to leave. Wow, 4 hours of planning and programming time plus 2 hours of Ed Leader time per studio.
The challengesResourcing levels in the sector can be a challenge, but I think the Petit Directors and Leadership team manage this well. They have closed rooms to ensure we always prioritise the quality of care.

We have a really supportive team and management staff. We all work well together and help each other as much as possible. The programming is very manageable and I have easily been able to step up into a Lead role without too much stress. We have great leadship throughout the centre, allowing for new educators to step up and contribute to all aspects of the studios and program.
The good thingsSupportive Team Great work/life balance Plenty of non-contact hours Enjoyable working conditions Boutique centre Great learning and development opportunities
The challengesSmall team so shifts are varied We are thrifty with our resources

    Bad management, poorly run company.
The good thingsNot many positives, well resourced centre.
The challengesManagement was horrible, if there were issues they would not keep anything confidential or deal with the problems. Badly designed building considering it is purposed built.

Not at all flexible working conditions. Had huge staff turnover due to change in centre management. Too much pressure to achieve unrealistic goals. No budget for resources
The good thingsThe other educators and families make it a feel like a community
The challengesNo support from management both in the centre and from area management. Also wont be able to grow professional.
