Its a great place to work.
The good thingsI've had the privilege of working at SA Power Networks, and I can confidently say it's an organisation that truly values its people. Safety is not just a priority here—it’s a core part of the culture. Every process, decision, and initiative is underpinned by a strong commitment to keeping employees, contractors, and the community safe. One of the standout aspects of working here is the team environment. Collaboration is second nature, and there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie across departments. Everyone is approachable, and leadership is supportive and transparent. It’s the kind of place where you feel heard and valued. On top of that, the remuneration is very rewarding. SA Power Networks recognises the skills and dedication of its workforce, offering competitive pay and benefits that reflect the importance of the roles we play. Overall, it’s a workplace that balances professionalism with care, and I’m proud to be part of it.
The challengesChallenges Working at SA Power Networks: While SA Power Networks is a great place to work, like any large organisation, there are challenges that come with the territory. One of the key challenges related to the power distribution industry is navigating complex regulatory requirements and compliance standards. In roles that support field operations, such as fleet assurance, coordinating across multiple departments and external providers can be demanding, especially when balancing cost, downtime, and service quality. That said, these challenges are part of what makes the work meaningful — they push you to grow professionally and contribute to solutions that have a real impact on the community.

Work for a company with a positive culture and values!
The good thingsI have enjoyed working for a company with a positive culture and values. SA Power Networks, Customer Solutions and the Cadet Project Officer Program has been a great place to work. I have always been grateful to be in a company and different teams within Customer Solutions that cares about and supports its team members while also challenging them to grow. Managers and team members trust and respect each other and have a shared commitment to both individual, team and company success. Being a part of the Cadet Project Officer Program over the last 3 years, I have enjoyed working in supportive environments that provide essential services to our customers. The Cadet Project Officer Program focuses on developing dynamic and high performing teams with an emphasis on project management and electrical engineering principles.
The challengesI believe this question is not applicable.

Challenging and rewarding opportunity as an undergraduate engineer.
The good thingsGreat working environment, very helpful and knowledgeable people who are always willing to stop whatever work they are doing to help you out. Great opportunity as an undergraduate. They don't treat you as an undergrad but give you challenging tasks and treat you the same as all other engineers.
The challengesSome processes can be slow and tedious; there's a lot going on so it can be difficult to feel like you're on top of things.
