Lack of support, mentorship and a lot of micromanagement During my time at the company, I was initially inspired by the strong values and high standards promoted during induction. Unfortunately, I found there was often a disconnect between those ideals and the day-to-day experience.
In particular, my experience with management was disappointing—there was a lack of support, mentorship, and consistent professionalism. I often felt micromanaged and excluded due to favoritism. Flexibility around basic things like work-from-home arrangements or even wearing comfortable footwear was not accommodated, which made each day unnecessarily stressful. There were a lot of politics and it made work seem unpleasant.
I voiced these concerns openly in my exit interview, yet no one from senior leadership reached out or acknowledged them. It was disheartening, especially given the company’s stated commitment to employee wellbeing. I also did not receive a recommendation letter, which felt like an unfortunate end to my time there.
I genuinely hope this feedback helps foster positive change for others going forward.
