GWE- End up using more of your own money to make end meet rather than get a decent wage working hereThe good thingsSome nice people there, A range of different jobs you can do, if you can get any training to do them that is.
The challengesPay rate is high BUT No shifts means not money, Flat rate no extra money for Avro shift or night shift or weekend work or late call outs. Very little to no training, there is a pecking order for work, GWE at the bottom little to no shifts followed by VSE a few shifts per week, full-time permanent get the bulk of work a few of the permanents have a level of self-entitlement and a Union for all I think not EA agreement somewhat reflects this. O yer one last thing there is no work/life balance here as you DON"T KNOW when you’re working your next shift until 4pm text the day before so you can't plan anything. In summary you end up using more of your own money to make ends meet rather than get a decent let alone average wage to live on that how it is for GWE employees!
