    Exciting, rewarding and having support from Railcorp management.
    The good thingsI was employed as a Transit Officer in 2002 and served 10 + years with Railcorp. I enjoyed my association working alongside train drivers and working with train guards. The NSW Government disband our Transit function.
    The challengesThe challengers were to drive down crime on the rail and protect the travelling public. We were responsible for improving Security on trains and infrastructure.

    Good career that ended too soon.
    The good thingsIt was a good job until my section and others went through a restructure for a World Class Railway. Then it was dog eat dog while fellow staff started looking at own interests.
    The challengesHandling office politics and management whose new ways were the old ways that were abandoned previously because they did not work in real life.

    Enjoyable stressful and very challenging.
    The good thingsTeam work, my role was ensuring the safety of the tunnel, passengers and workers in Sydney Underground Tunnel Network. It was very challenging due the continues interfacing with all other discipline such as electrical, signal and civil. A lot of meeting with all other divisions to ensure the project will run smoothly within agreed quality, time and budget.
