Great experience for the time I was there
The good thingsI worked at a few stores however one I worked at was a really supportive environment. Lovely manager, lovely colleagues, nice customers. You learn a lot about luxury retail if that’s something you’re passionate about. Flexible with life commitments
The challengesNot a lot of hours for casual. Once I moved to different store which was MYER concession only 3 hours a week, not enough hours for uni student. Manager was also really disrespectful and singled me out all the time

management do not want you to succeed
The good thingsgood staff discount, but the prices are still ridiculous for what it is. you can see the quality of clothing downgrading over time too + they keep increasing the price with no justification you get to meet some good people sometimes
The challengesmanagement do not want you to progress in the company even if you show commitment and hard work. upper management are all fake and will make false promises to you. they will employ people who are clearly unfit and incompetent into management roles because of connections within the company.

Great place to work if you love to learn and grow, but not the most supportive management.
The good thingsRalph Lauren is a great company to work for if you love learning. They teach you so much and teach you how to provide a great customer service experience. They value knowledge and training so much and provide extensive training on their product.
The challengesManagement has favourites and doesn't have the best conflict resolution practices. Once they don't like you, you're excluded and alienated. They don't provide the best support either if you're struggling with conflict in the workplace.

As one of the leading apparel brands I am proud to be a part of this company. some of the amazing qualities are that they are diverse and foster a culture of growth within its teams. The brand is committed to some great causes that solidify its commitment to sustainability and community.
The good thingsGreat culture with a very committed leadership team promoting growth within. Great benefits and positive working environment.
The challengesAs the retail industry is quite challenging you have to be resilient and proactive to get results.

Good brand for high end fashion retail experience, I wouldn't trust the management.
The good thingsGreat discount. Working for an iconic brand. Product training goes deep.
The challengesManagement doesn't really care about their staff unless you are part-time, full-time etc. Poorly organised management system, lots of gossiping - personal issues aren't handed confidentially as they should be. Casuals are used by the company when needed but aren't offered support when they need it. Lack of support and recognition for those who go above and beyond - no positive feedback or motivation from the management team.

Working at Ralph Lauren was very stressful and the discount wasn’t worth their disorganisation
The good thingsthe discount was great as it was 50%
The challengesVery unorganised, kept me on as a Christmas casual for longer than I should have been there and made it seem like I was permanent but then cancelled my contract with no notice

A great company to work for that, in my experience, cares for their employees and values their autonomy. I had no directly negative experiences during my employment and would regard them as a fine company to either grow or transition with. Passion and diligence are rewarded with recognition and praise, however not in salary compensation.
The good thingsGood development opportunities if you show potential. Great management and a fun place to work if you are lucky enough to have a good team. Discount is decent and there are plenty of resources you can access for a variety of issues (in-company counselling, financial help plans) as well as a bonus scheme when targets are reached. Birthday leave is also a plus.
The challengesThere is a "cult-like" pressure to love the brand when meeting with other employees which can feel disingenuous. Particularly in working a concession store, dealing with a 3rd-party business can be tiring and bothersome. The pay is average and not currently compelling enough to stay long-term.

Extremely positive environment with fashion that never gets old.
The good thingsThe staff are always helpful and kind, the clothing is incredible and versatile and management has always been communicative and actively involved.
The challengesAt first understanding the different types of clothing, but this was quickly overcome due to the aid of fellow employees

No work life balance and no appreciation for going above and beyond. Promised growth and development in jobs but never follow through. Perform internal interviews when they already know who they will hire
The good thingsGreat team members and environment
The challengesNSW upper management disclosing confidential employee information to other employees/managers. Lack of upper management and head office support. Does not follow the RL way of inclusive and diversity as Ralph Lauren voices.

Always felt valued. Never let down. Excellent, excellent, excellent. 10/10
The good thingsAbsolutely wonderful management. You really feel cared for here. They’re very good to you and believe in your independence. No micromanaging. You’re trusted to do your job, but also expected to do it well. The culture is fantastic, the stance of the company regarding social and cultural issues is again very agreeable. It’s a very well managed company, and an excellent testament to what good management can provide in terms of pure productivity. I worked so hard for Polo, not for the pay check but just because they were so amazing to work for that I felt I owed them. Great work life balance. Flexibility. A very generous employee discount. They tick all the boxes.
The challengesThere’s opportunities for advancement but it won’t happen quick. Other than that? Honestly? Nothing. I’m serious, it was absolutely amazing working here and I’d do it again. Only thing I’d maybe mention is as our manager was in between promotions, there was a time she ran three stores at once. We’d be left alone, trusted to do our jobs. And we did. Diligently.

POOR MANAGEMENT and LACK OF SHIFTS
The good thingsMet great team members, chilled environment to work in, excellent discounts on products
The challengesPOOR management, stuck in one section for the entire shift (boring), lack of hours (1 shifts per week), average pay, no incentive to work harder and not recognised by management.
