It's an American company and didn't have any problems making redundant half of their workforce here in Australia.

Got the opportunity to learn a lot about new technologies, met wonderful, passionate people who have inspired me to do better no matter what I do.
The good thingsFor someone who is outspoken, this is a place to flourish. There are many opportunities to show your talents. Flexible work environment.
The challengesFor the more introverted folks, you will able to progress only if you can change yourself to someone who would be more visible either in meetings, or mailing lists. Pay is on the lower scale. Need to constantly have conversations with managers and are still told that you need to do more.

The good thingsGreat place if you are into open source software in general. Great hackers to work with. Red Hat was No.1 contributor to Linux in 2013. I like easy-going people and work place diversity. Biggest internationalization team is located in Brisbane.
The challengesWorking with teams distributed globally can be challenging. Expect to have conference calls at awkward hours.
