    Good leadership / opportunities but poor accountability and team culture.
    The good thingsStrong career development opportunities and competitive pay. The executive team is professional and demonstrates a clear commitment to the company’s values and long-term direction.
    The challengesThe work environment in this area was challenging and when concerns regarding managerial conduct were raised, the response often appeared to favour the manager rather than address the issue appropriately. Combined with a difficult team culture, extended hours and limited follow-through from management despite assurances of support, this created a consistently frustrating and unsupportive workplace.

    A great company with plenty of room to grow. You will feel valued supported and heard.
    The good thingsI’ve worked in this industry for over 20 years, and this is by far the most supportive company I’ve been a part of. From day one, I’ve felt genuinely valued and heard, not just as an employee, but as a person. The level of support across the team and leadership is exceptional, and it creates an environment where you can really thrive. It truly feels like being part of a company that cares, rather than just being another number like in some other workplaces.
    The challengesEvery large company has challenges and issues, but at least with Redcape, they listen when issues are brought to them. From management up to Venue Support, I feel very heard when I do have an issue.

    The good thingsThere are genuine opportunities to step into different roles and build experience beyond just hospitality, which keeps things interesting and rewarding. The level of support across the business is strong — you’re not just left to figure things out on your own. There’s a real sense of care for people, both professionally and personally.   What stands out most is work often doesn’t feel like “work” because of the environment and the people around you. You build strong relationships that go beyond just colleagues, which makes a big difference day-to-day.
    The challengesLike any fast-paced hospitality environment, there are challenges, but what’s different is how they’re handled. There’s a clear focus on finding solutions and continuously improving systems to reduce pressure on team members. You feel heard, and efforts are made to make things better rather than just pushing through issues.

    The good thingsThe Head Chef was amazing to work with! Extremely talented & knowledgeable but has since left after nearly 8 years of service.
    The challengesEncourage Head Office NSW to stop taking a blanket approach to running venues & visit regional areas regularly. Listen to your local staff & take their comments on board. They know their patrons the best & what they desire!

    The challengesFor me personally my challenges were personal not with the company. I adopted a new way of thinking because I wasn't use to a good work culture previously before going redcape group.

    The challengesSix closing shifts in a row is quite challenging. Management at times don't compromise a reasonable workload for one person. No free Manager meals despite average pay and hard work which shows how little the company value the hardworking Managers No bonuses

    The challengesBeing "aligned" with the Group "ethics" is a priority. Any innovation or personality will be pushed aside if you aren't willing to fall in line with the team.

    The good thingsWorking in a team that is full of support and understanding really makes coming to work a lot easier and enjoyable. The management team are honestly nothing short of amazing & the team is just as awesome. Always something new to learn and goals to achieve throughout this role and I look forward to continuing my growth with Redcape.
    The challengesEvery job you have will have challenges but if there is ever a challenge I know I can go straight to management & they will try their best to fix whatever has happened. I personally haven’t come across any challenges yet but I know what to do if there is any.

    The good thingsWorking at Eden Brew House has been a wonderful experience to me. I have the best management and supervisors who only there for you work but also for professional growth. They have given us an equal opportunity to learn and improve our craft. In general, they are by the most compassionate people i have worked with.
    The challengesI have never experienced major challenges at Eden Brewhouse yet, but I think if ever i will in the future, my managers and supervisors will be reliable and we can count on them.

    The good thingsThroughout my years of working with many different types of companies and management Redcape stands out amongst the rest. This is a company that actually cares about you. In the short time I have been working for this company I have had a lot of personal development this has been able to push myself forward also allowing me to have the perfect personal/work life balance which is an important thing when finding an employer. This company shares such a valuable team promise they care for you and your fellow team members and love to collaborate on new ideas and help you grow into a strong person.
    The challengesEvery company has challenges in their own ways and aspects. But Redcape gives you courage to overcome these issues this includes on how to go about certain topics within the Venue/Industry and how you get can get the result that works both for you and your team!

    The good thingsRedcape hotel group is the best company I have worked for! Working for many other companies in hospitality industry for many years now and working for other big companies this one by far has been the most supportive. I’ve had enormous growth in my career since working here. Having the ability to grow and be trained properly is something I have only received from Redcape. From area manager, venue manger and frontline staff we are given support and given the ability to be heard. Redcape goes above and beyond for all staff members.

Communication is top priority between management and staff. Leadership, career advancement and growth are highly encouraged. Strong team are develop through positive leadership, empathy and trust. Innovation and creativity are seen and heard. Provides a healthy work environment that creates a sense of family among staff (work/life balance). Redcape group values its employees and communities.
    The challengesAll companies (venues) has it own challenges/difficulties, however the point that differentiate Redcape is how they look at all these challenges and see it on another's point of view. Redcape see's a problem and they find solution. Other companies might just turn a blind eye, but not Redcape they work with their people!

    Having worked for the majority of players out in the Queensland hospitality market, I have never felt as connected and appreciated as I do with Redcape — a company that truly cares.
    The good thingsCompany alignment from top to bottom, an employer that seeks to understand and encourages curious and innovative thinking, focused on behaviors and building them and leaders. Given the opportunity to run a business that is be spoke, create events, promotions and business plans with help from state support office if needed, managed results with clear profit and loss reports. A desire to create leaders. Salary working a 4 day, 40hr week roster, encouraged to have a work life balanced, monthly staff surveys that are followed up on.
