    Wrong place, wrong time!
The good thingsEstablished hotel group with defined SOPs that were not always followed.. Kitchen brigade was fantastic & the food was on point.
The challengesRestaurant Manager was authoritarian & lacked basic leadership skills & common sense, which made it very challenging to perform my duties. There were very limited lines of communication to upper management, who were not aware at the time of what was really going on!

Hospitality, its a challenge but also a great learning curve.
The good thingsIt's a convenient place to work as its close to transport. Everyone gets on well with each other and helps out when needed. we have a spacious lunch room so we can all sit down together and a chat and have a laugh.
The challengesWorking your personal life around a rotating roster. times we have to do rooms is tight so you really need to concentrate on what your doing and how your doing it just to get it done. making sure the customer is happy and that you have met there expectations.
