if you're desperate for work while you look for something else or you're a backpacker or student who has no big expenses then maybe
The good thingsthe supervisors are nice, they do the best they can.
The challengespay is too little, hours are too short, uniform and some equipment makes it expensive at the start but just not enough work on either, constantly asking for more then it gets cancelled. No notice there was no work over christmas and no care from management, no real team environment. Too many emails each week for jobs you won't even get if you say yes. Some weeks as little as one three hour shift but they are always advertising for more staff. We got an email for christmas nothing else.

The challengesNo promotion or any other benifits sometime very long hours of work without any extra pay. There is no business culture in the company.

    Not good long term
The good thingsFlexibility, can somewhat have choice over the number of shifts you pick up and where you want to go
The challengesInexperienced management, poor work life balance (working early mornings and late evening), threatening you take shifts away if you don’t pick up shifts on the other side of town (not worth the money offered), poor/low quality of staff, low wages - no penalty rates

If I can find another job will not continue to work for them
The good thingsNone. It is the worst place I have ever worked. They are disorganised and will not listen to their employees
The challengesI am a supervisor in Tasmania but we are run out of Victoria. We only have a certain amount of equipment between 5 supervisors but the will tell us who needs what equipment and we do not live very close to one another so getting equipment is very difficult as we do not have an office.

RGIS works fine if you are desperate but not a place to build a career.
The good thingsThey will take almost anyone which means it's good for people who are not being accepted by other such places.
The challengesTimes are sent out and we asked to get those times then we wait and see. it is inconvenient for those trying to have stable work but good for folk who want a shift every now and again.

Made a couple of good friends, but upper management and HR are lacking
The good thingsFlexible hours, some nice team mates
The challengesHot, heavy, and sometimes aweful working conditions with lack of breaks and lack of support from management. Punishment if you are sick, lack of shifts for the next couple of weeks. They don't support their loyal staff. Very unorganized, especially on the gold coast
