Working for Ferragamo was a stressful and demoralising experience, I'm glad that I have moved on to greener pasture. The good thingsIt's a great stepping stone if you're wanting to start a career in luxury retail, it opens doors to bigger and better opportunities.
The challengesThings started off great with lots of drive within the business to make positive changes. Unfortunately, this was short-lived and many failed turnaround attempts followed, it got to the point where I could no longer take my career seriously at this company.
Sales are all this company cares about, unfortunately Ferragamo has been in decline for years so it's always an uphill battle.
Staff turnover was high at all levels of the business, there was no positivity to be found anywhere.
Upper management is erratic and indecisive so it makes your job more difficult than it has to be.
The company is severely under-resourced yet there is an expectation to perform on the level of competing luxury brands which can be near impossible if not delusional.
