The business use to be good to work for, however there seems to be no direction from the business. Saputo seems to be a place now where the business will drain every ounce of sweat out of you before you decide to leave or they will push you to the brink
The good thingsGreat colleagues, great community feel regional areas.
The challengesSLT team is not aligned with one another, constantly belittle one another behind each other's backs (Not professional). There is lack of acknowledgment for those who have been loyal to the business over the years and what they have contributed they are completely taken advantage of. Skill, knowledge, expertise are not factored in when it comes to promotions it's all about if you are friends with (a senior leadership member) To many placed into roles they are not skilled /competent for. Team members are encouraged to speak up and voice their opinions however when they do certain leaders deem them to be problematic this is evident throughout Supply Chain, Customer Service, S&OP. Saputo values use to be always mentioned however they are never spoken about in Australia anymore. Human resources is non-existent/ present thought out business lack of awareness regarding psychosocial/ mental health issues throughout business, Stress claims have increased but are not factored in on metrics

Stay away not unless you like being used as a door mat.
The good thingsThere is nothing good about been used..
The challengesWhen Saputo took over Murray Goulbourne management stayed the same so the same disappointments just kept happening with no improvements it was very disappointing to see when some of the workers took pride in there job but was never recognized.

Just go there for money and don’t believe their Saputo family propaganda.
The good thingsGood hourly rate and some good people there.
The challengesLimited training opportunities unless you’re mates with the Production Manager. RDOs struggle to be approved causing people to use their personal leave. Plant shutdowns due to poor management resulting in Operators needing to use their own leave.

    Challenging and belittling.
The good thingsWork colleagues are mostly friendly and are doing their best, but managements incompetence and arrogance makes their jobs impossible.
The challengesManagement and site leadership lie and mislead and the people who work for Saputo are just a number. Don't believe their prattle about one big supportive family.

Great opportunity to grow, learn and evolve!
The good thingsI love having the opportunity to work in a supporting team which has stringent and effective processes, while also feeling empowered to bring ideas and experiences from previous employment to grow and evolve in my role. Working with a range of stakeholders and with several calendar events on the horizon, no two days are the same. SDA is a responsible corporation and holds itself to account on its Saputo Promise, meaning its employees work hard to ensure it is a safe and inclusive workspace which helps protect well-being, health, safety and the environment.
The challengesGetting across our company's processes and readapting my mindset to get quality over speed has been slightly difficult but I am getting used to it and this will no doubt help my future with SDA in the long-term.

    Felt like I was fooled
The good thingsNone that I could think of
The challengesAlot of the payroll team was inexperienced. I thought I would do payroll processing but unaware was brought in to train them, and to top it off they were solely given the tasks like doing all payroll reports when they are really really green. I was not allowed to do these tasks but train. If get stuck I have to assist them. Hired to be used up not developed. HR said I must 'cross skill' so I left.

Saputo is a fun place to be every day which is why I’m still here 8 years later!
The good thingsSaputo is a fun place to work, with great people who are willing to jump in and help and a supportive close-knit culture. Someone is always up for a coffee, chat or a beer after work. I have had 2 of my 3 children while working for Saputo and have been fortunate to have been offered a promotion while I was away and have also been able to return with flexible work arrangements being supported without having to have a “difficult conversation”.
The challengesBeing the largest dairy manufacture in Australia the business operates at a fast pace and employees are required to think and act quickly. While this can be a challenge to some this also means every day is exciting and there is never a dull moment.

A great place to work and grow professionally.
The good thingsA place where employees feel part of a family. Colleagues are friendly and management strongly encourage personal development.
The challengesFinding growth opportunities within the niche department I work for; however, this is compensated by Saputo's willingness to provide secondment opportunities or provide similar opportunities withing other larger departments.

Disaster, when company change over there was no change management, they had no idea of the knowledge of the people they had and how to retain their business acumen. People felt like they were talking to a brick wall. Not a good working environment. People got burnt.
The good thingsDidn't enjoy too much
