Our values drive everything we do

There are certain values and behaviours that drive all our work. They are integral to what we do and how we do it – so we look for them in everyone we work with.

    Accountability

We take personal responsibility for using our resources efficiently, achieving measurable results, and being accountable to supporters, partners and, most of all, children.

    Ambition

We are demanding of ourselves and our colleagues, set high goals and are committed to improving the quality of everything we do for children.

    Collaboration

We respect and value each other, thrive on our diversity, and work with partners to leverage our global strength in making a difference for children.

    Creativity

We are open to new ideas, embrace change, and take disciplined risks to develop sustainable solutions for and with children.

    Integrity

We aspire to live to the highest standards of personal honesty and behaviour; we never compromise our reputation and always act in the best interests of children.

    Perks and benefits

    Salary packaging

Full-time or part-time staff can increase their take home pay by taking advantage of salary packaging. Pay for expenses like rent, upfront before tax.

    Flexible working arrangements

Our flexible work policies enable you to work from home, compress your work week, or job share where appropriate.

    Child and parent friendly

We have arrangements for children in the workplace in all offices and we offer paid parental leave to both the primary and secondary carer.

    Deployment opportunities

Our program staff have the opportunity to deploy to help out other programs when needed, for a few days, weeks or months depending on your interest.

    Extra leave

All staff can also choose to purchase additional leave during the year for extra time off. Our Holiday Club gives eligible employees an extra week’s leave.

    Staff wellbeing

We offer free external, professional and confidential counselling assistance to our staff for personal, family or career related issues.

    Continuous professional development

We support where you want to take your career through continuous training and development. Study leave support is available for those undertaking further study.

    Pet friendly

In our Melbourne office, we welcome our furry friends to join us on Tuesdays and Fridays. It’s well known that having pets in the office can reduce stress.
