My experience at Scalabrini has provided me with valuable insights into the critical importance of compassionate care for elderly residents and the fulfillment that comes from making a positive impact on their lives.
The good thingsScalabrini, a company genuinely dedicated to providing top-notch aged care, has embarked on an exciting journey. This phase has brought unique challenges as the focus is on enhancing the residents' experience and investing significantly in the company's future. During this time, I've had the privilege of experiencing personal satisfaction through my work. While ensuring compliance with industry standards, I've taken pleasure in actively contributing to strategic initiatives and playing a significant role in the multifaceted renovations and improvements in each of the Villages. These efforts not only reflected commitment to providing the highest quality of care but also underscore the dedication to a brighter and more prosperous future for the Scalabrini family.
The challengesThe challenges faced by the Head of Maintenance, Assets, and Compliance primarily revolve around compliance and presentation of all the assets, and to ensure that all team leaders comprehend the importance of their roles in this regard.

I enjoy working here. Love and fun permeate every corner of our office.
The good thingsOur workplace atmosphere is incredibly supportive and our colleagues are always ready to lend a helping hand. They willingly offer their kindness whenever it's needed. We cheer each other on, share our accomplishments, and celebrate birthdays with our close workmates.
The challengesEmbarking on an aged care industry presents initial challenges, however, if you really enjoy what you do, you can overcome the challenges that come your way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working at Scalabrini Village, both at the village and support office, finding it a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
The good thingsI've had the privilege of working with Scalabrini Village both in the village and Support Office, and I must say it has been an incredibly positive experience. What stands out the most is the strong sense of community and commitment to providing exceptional care to our residents. The staff members are not just colleagues but a close-knit team that genuinely cares about the well-being of the residents and each other. I also appreciate the commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Scalabrini invests in its employees, providing opportunities for professional development and growth. This not only benefits the individuals but also enhances the quality of care provided to the residents. The emphasis on resident-centred care is another aspect that I admire. Residents are treated with respect and dignity, and their individual needs and preferences are prioritised. This person-centred approach truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve, and to me as an employee. Overall, my experience with Scalabrini Village has been fulfilling, and I'm grateful to be a part of an organisation that values its employees, residents, and the broader community.
The challengesWorking at Scalabrini Village, like any organisation, comes with its set of challenges: * Regulatory Compliance: Aged care facilities are subject to strict regulations and guidelines. Staying compliant with these regulations and dealing with audits and inspections can be challenging, but we get through it together. * Emotional Strain: Caring for residents who may be in declining health or experiencing cognitive decline can be emotionally challenging. Witnessing their struggles or dealing with loss can be difficult for staff. * Communication and Family Expectations: Effectively communicating with residents and their families, managing their expectations, and addressing their concerns can be challenging, especially in emotionally charged situations. * COVID-19 Pandemic: Dealing with the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, including infection control, lockdowns, and visitor restrictions, has been a significant challenge for aged care facilities. It's important to note that despite these challenges, I find my work at Scalabrini to be incredibly rewarding. The challenges are mitigated through teamwork, ongoing training, support systems, and a commitment to providing the best possible care for residents.

It is a pleasant company to work with flexibility and joy. Employees have the self-motivations to work harder to achieve personal and company goal.
The good thingsGreat and supportive management with sense of humour, flexible and friendly working environment, excellent team work, opportunities for career development. Also, as a non profit organisation, looking after the residents with high quality care is Scalabrini's mission and top management is working towards the mission all the time.
The challengesAt the beginning work can be very challenging, but after a while you would learn a lot things in Aged Care industry through the challenges.
