    The job was fine but music management made doing it very difficult. Other schools treat their teachers much better.
    The good thingsStudents are generally polite and well cared for.
    The challengesAbsolute nightmare of management in music dept. Nobody knew what was happening half of the time and the head of dept would always shift blame.

    The good thingsHigh quality leadership. Best resources, services possible. High pay. Central working location. Great team of professional teachers - you will never work with more dedicated colleagues. Lovely boys. Very positive work place.
    The challengesParents expectations about teacher performance, feedback and individual attention is high. You will never work harder (but you will never feel more valued). Monitored closely by leaders to ensure you are at the top of your game.

    Wonderful environment and excellent school.
    The good thingsIncredible opportunities, supportive staff and benefits (recess and lunch provided to all staff). Scotch has a very rich history, particularly around their involvement in the World Wars. It's not only a workplace but a community.
    The challengesIt often feels that there isn't enough time in the day to do everything you want to do, even when you manage your time well. Rising to the challenge of working in a prestigious school like Scotch can take its toll. You must be careful not to take on more than you should.
