good times, great people, slightly below adequate training
The good thingsGood pay and loadings, though could be better on an alternative award as it has been in history (but secure is too cheap) Great form of exercise (be aware that Kerbside is a very active position where you will be walking 20k+ steps a shift and very rarely sitting) The community is fantastic and you will be taught your role well and make some really amazing connections along the way
The challengesTSMs at Brisbane Airport often appear reserved initially, but they become more approachable once staff feel confident and start engaging. While basic positions like pick-up and drop-off can be trained in a day, taxi feeder and rank positions should require full-day training EACH, especially at the ITB due to high traffic and limited space. Staff also need better training on airport-specific taxi fares, as maxi fares do not apply and I didn't know this in the early days. The uniform is not QLD summer friendly and I'm sure present staff would greatly appreciate a summer uniform. The long, thick pants and long sleeve top do not offer great aeration and the domestic pickup position is a killer in spring and summer

Completely dysfunctional. Do not work here.
The good thingsFree Parking was great.
The challengesEverything could be improved. They would literally need to do the opposite of everything they currently do in order to be successful.

Want to be depressed, Ignored and unvalued Go Ahead, apply you wont be disappointed
The good thingsColleagues & Customers, but that was my customer service ethic not the organisations
The challengesThe organisation employs management who have no idea what the business does. The net result is that they become so insecure about their own jobs that they can't see forest for trees. Customer service? their plan is to move to tech and call centre based in Philippines, most of which can barely understand English. Staff and customers alike end up being treated like cattle in a a feedlot, "oh look one died" matters not, there's plenty more waiting to go to slaughter anyway.

Fun but don't get engaged with the bosses.
The good thingsInteresting and cool team to work with.
The challengesSupervisors aren't too bad, it's management that are the issue. They are literally children and so far removed from all the rubbish that the front-line staff have to deal with from clients. Management offers no support besides a 'pizza party' every quarter.

    the worst experience ever
The good thingsI cannot think of any
The challengescompany value "People first" is a joke. most managers don't care about the staff and how the business performs, all they do is flattering their boss. hard working employees are not valued in this place

Okay job, but terrible upper management
The good thingsThe role itself (CSO) was a relatively easy role to preform at most times.
The challengesTerrible communication with upper management, they don't take their needs or experiences into consideration.

    Very toxic environment
The good thingsUnfortunately, there aren't any good thing to advise of.
The challengesTrying to do your best is always a challenge. Managers block all great ideas and common sense for alternatives that provide them with a financial advantages.

Great little company with loads of opportunity for self-motivated people
The good thingsA little company working hard to change the way it works and do the right things for its employees.
The challengesGeographical diversity of employees locations. It's hard to stay in touch because of the non-office based nature of the business.

I got screwed over... they now have a new guy training a new guy and I can’t put in a tech report for getting so many calls from staff at home
The good thingsStaff are great but continually get asked by managers to do more
The challengesTo do everything... we had tms, secure tech and rovers, now you do it all with no training and no communication from the higher ups.

    DO NOT DO IT!
    The good thingsFew good colleagues
The challengesManagement treats staff as cattle to herd where ever they please you can be doing one task one month and the next something totally different - all this with inadequate training and then you are blamed for any errors. Poor communication from internal staff based offsite. Management favors external hires than any internal progression Management are focused on outsourcing everything so dont expect to stick around long.

My knowledge was expanded and the work was great unfortunately the changes were creating some chaos
The good thingsa temp role always brings new skills and technology one allowed me to work within a large system. I was working with foreign currencies and very attention to detailed with the extremely high volume in a short period of time to assist with the upgrade of change and sudden departures of AP and customer service. I was able to help and support the team with experience, learn some new strategies and a great location.
The challengesThere was not a lot of structure or management that was in place which being used to internal audit, processes and policies being very important and an approachable IT team, supervisor or approvals were in pencil and at first made me seek an excel table with signatures to match approvers and limits.
