good times, great people, slightly below adequate trainingThe good thingsGood pay and loadings, though could be better on an alternative award as it has been in history (but secure is too cheap)
Great form of exercise (be aware that Kerbside is a very active position where you will be walking 20k+ steps a shift and very rarely sitting)
The community is fantastic and you will be taught your role well and make some really amazing connections along the way
The challengesTSMs at Brisbane Airport often appear reserved initially, but they become more approachable once staff feel confident and start engaging.
While basic positions like pick-up and drop-off can be trained in a day, taxi feeder and rank positions should require full-day training EACH, especially at the ITB due to high traffic and limited space.
Staff also need better training on airport-specific taxi fares, as maxi fares do not apply and I didn't know this in the early days.
The uniform is not QLD summer friendly and I'm sure present staff would greatly appreciate a summer uniform. The long, thick pants and long sleeve top do not offer great aeration and the domestic pickup position is a killer in spring and summer
