    Highly recommend!
The good thingsA caring company that cares about your career development. Great balance of work with client work and internal initiatives.
The challengesCan be left to be self-guided but allows for greater autonomy.

Only a short-term place to be!
The good thingsWorking alongside very smart individuals. Company paid social club events, end of quarter parties and dinners when you attend after hour trainings.
The challengesBody shop that only cares about the bottom line. Claims to be a consultant led company with a strong learning and development culture, but every extra-curricular activity, including training, is done in your own time. Management is arrogant and difficult to approach, and will throw money at a problem so they'll get their way. No flexible working arrangements, poor benefits, and below-average salaries.

    Boring
The good thingsThere are some really smart and interesting people working there
The challengesIt's a body shop for the most part unless you're one of the golden employees. A lot of the work is quite mediocre and mostly maintenance

    Another \"seat filler\" consultancy
The good thingsYou have a chance to work at a variety of large and small clients.
The challengesI wasn't there long, but business development managers need heavy up-skilling (if not replacement) and a real boost in capability to build and support the company staff

I really enjoyed being part of the Servian family, although circumstances didn't work out for me, I would always consider returning.
The good thingsReally looked after their staff and you feel you are part of a family. There were ample training opportunities (if you happened to be in Sydney or Melbourne unfortunately I wasn't) and they always tried to keep their staff up to date with new concepts and tools. I miss being part of that.
The challengesIt didn't work out for me, but only because there was no work in my area, so I found myself spending a lot of time on the bench, but even then I was offered training opportunities. My only real gripe is that I felt that maybe Servian were beginning to go in a different direction, more of a body shop rather than a genuine consultancy. That might be an unfair judgement, but most probably based on my experience of certain account managers who seemed more interested in placing bums on seats rather than offering the client genuine value.

Great times with the guys, interesting work, has given me a strong launch pad into other career opportunities.
The good thingsGreat bunch of people to work with/for. Mostly interesting work. Good startup atmosphere.
The challengesNo clear career direction. No formal consulting training. Its pretty much every man for himself.
