Excellent opportunity if you have good stakeholder management skills and resilience. The good thingsShell has huge potential globally, but one must finish the graduate program (approx 3 years) to make best use of it. Most teams in Australia are strong avocates of work/life balance and professional development, although pockets are not (like most organisations). Don't be afraid to speak out and push for development opportunities if you want them. The work is challenging but there is plenty of support, as long as you understand the politics and dynamics of a large corporate organisation (roles and responsibilities, who to involve with what, and so on).
The challengesAlthough Shell has extensive processes, in Australia they are not effectively applied and there is still lots of confusion. If one can navigate this period without extensive frustration, they will be successful. Workload is currently very high due to commissioning.
