Head office need to take action on feedback.
The good thingsCustomers and staff on same level great to interact and work with.
The challengesManagement is appalling. Dictatorship, no offer of assistance, just do what I say. No option for feedback at any level. No idea as to what is actually happening in store on a day to day basis. Seems that head office think that a cookie cutter approach is the way to go with all stores to be laid out the same regardless of location and demographic. No walk through in stores to see customer flow and presentation of store. Using zoom to interact with store layouts provides no real experience.

I have loved and still love working at Sheridan Outlet.
I am looking for extra hours which our store cannot accommodate at the moment as we already have five staff members employed there inclusive of myself.
The good thingsI love it when customers return to the store and say how happy they are with their purchases.
The challengesOverall the good things out way the challenges but one thing that does stand out was the constant shortage of staff that we faced for a few months over the Covid period.

it was ok
The good thingsTeam i worked on were very hard working and pleasent to work with. Great work life balance, never worked overtime. Good employee discounts across the hanes brand.
The challengesSystem and procedures we're very outdated. Alot of processes were not stremlined and very mismanaged / unorganised.
Each department/team and their managers are self serving in the sense that they only look out for their team - there is no support between departments.
For a company that is so large they did not want to invets in the equipment needed for everyday tasks (such as as a computer/server).
Sheridan expected every hour of the day to be filled with tasks, however i was often left looking for tasks to fill my day.
Often simple tasks needed to be approved by multiple managers which caused bottlenecking of work and uncessary urgent deadlines/stress.

The good thingsThe odd chance you get a wonderful team - nothing specific to Sheridan
The challengesUnfortunately a toxic workplace that offers no support for your personal life. Have been with company for years but never had support for personal growth (studies) or family life when you need time off..
Stock levels are consistently poor and often product will be out of stock for months which leads to angry customers. Sheridan had a wonderful reputation when it was Australian made but the quality is no longer there.
Also a ridiculous amount of workplace politics, in every store. Not a job you get if you want to be thanked or feel satisfied, doesn't matter how much of the job you get done it won't be recognised. No wonder there's a very high amount of staff turnover..

Working at Sheridan was a physically challenging job as nd not family friendly hours with minimal reward.

The challengesDealing with very unprofessional management at the Sheridan store I worked at. Also the stock levels were frequently low to satisfy customers demand and Sheridan quality had decreased. Customer dissatisfaction had increased.
