    Great
The good thingsEasy job, that pays well
The challengesyou need good sales skills to convince people to buy the expensive beds, can be hard to get people over to the bedding section. There isn't any upward mobility, it's just sales rep or operations manager, and that's a big leap

Happy working for the Comfort Group
The good thingsThe product is excellent,I like the new bed launches where we have dinner and raffles. You work on your own ,so your not being micro managed .
The challengesThe first year is challenging as you have to learn product knowledge and learn to use the systems .As well as build a great relationship with managers and staff that work around you.I work with the other brand right next to me and it can become tense when competing against another person/brand

Sales Consultant then Store Manager of a Sleepmaker reseller
    Nov 2019
1 to 2 years in the role, former employee
Would only ever sell and buy Sleepmaker sleep gear.
The good thingsThe direct support team was effective and supportive. Upper management were always interested in better methods. They recognised the salespeople as a fundamental part of their success
The challengesMarketing and advertising was ineffective and too price driven both requiring, but also allowing the salesperson to work harder to assist the customer with the right sleep system. Product quality was good.

I loved working at sleep maker and if needed be would work there again in a heart beat. The work was slow paced and the people you work with are lovely and understanding.
The good thingsThe management was exceptional, unlike anything I’ve worked with before. Very understanding people. Work isn’t too stressful.
The challengesGetting a certain amount of sales per week.

Best move I ever did career wise. No stress and a great work/life balance!!
The good thingsGreat management team that gives a lot of support when you need it. Family owned company that make every employee feel valued and appreciated. I work as a sales consultant based at a department store and enjoy the autonomous aspect of my job. Great product that is easy to promote and sell. Management appreciate a job well done and give recognition when it’s earned.
The challengesSlower sales periods are always difficult. Sometimes the communication flow is a little backed up.

Was an awesome company until they become a corporate conglomerate.
The good thingsThe people I worked with were the only reason I stayed.
The challengesThe board, The owners and the head of HR are not in touch with what really goes on at ground level. They make decisions from an “ivory tower” and never ask employers there opinion or input.

Interesting to see if this company survives.
The good thingsRegrettably, they are minimal
The challengesEverything was a challenge, the company seems to have no experienced staff from the factory floor to senior management. Constant problems, which no one knew how to solve.

The good thingsInternal promotions. Heaps of opportunity to improve my credentials.
The challengesUnreliable machinery kill efficiencies, and a lean headcount compounds the issue. Workforce standard is ordinary.
