Wouldn’t wish this workplace upon my worst enemy
The good thingsWithout question the worst company I have ever worked for, extremely poor management, the way drivers are treated is absolutely mind blowing, zero respect or appreciation for hard work and enormous hours put in, zero work life balance, go to work in the dark come home in the dark
The challengesFleet of Ancient trucks held togethor by band aids, breaking down on a daily basis and leaking oil throughout the shire

The good thingsOther Drivers were helpful, early morning starts
The challengesTrucks constantly breaking down, as the new guy you get the spare trucks to drive, there all junk, and you get given the runs that no one else wants to do.Pay mix ups,no entitlements shown on payslip ect. They Demand you work public Holidays.Terrible money for the job you do.

AND THEY WONDER WHY THERES SO MUSH TURNOVER
The good thingsGetting paid thats it!!!!
The challengesSolo has no work policies in place to protect you from constant threats of physical harm and or your mental well-being. Dealing directly with the public you will be constantly exposed to threats of physical harm and working alone during 5am starts in the dark and totally unsupported. HR and management are absolutely oblivious to the risks involved whilst performing your duties. They simply you to accept it as part of the job

There is a reason they have high drivers turn over.
The good thingsCo-workers and leading hands are friendly and helpful. Branch manager is nice and respectful.
The challengesThe management is bad. They roster you on the job you don't want to do or you didn't even apply for. Not enough Hours they offered me in the interview.

    Great inside into Garage collection.
The good thingsGreat Pay, good experience opportunities to grow within the company if you are willing to put the hard work in.
The challengesHOURS! 5am starts, but get paid from 5:30am Half an hour a day given for free. They expect you in half an hour before hand to grab your paperwork, and talk smack. Can never arrange to do anything outside of work days, as the hours are difficult to know your knock off time

Terrible! Can understand the rest of the reviews saying exactly what I experienced.
The good thingsClose to home, staff are friendly.
The challengesNo training, you have to try work things out yourself, extremely unfair treatment towards employees of your not in the clicky group, and if your not doing the work of 3 ppl which is hard if they don’t train you to start with. Terrible pay for the work expected, less stress and better conditions elsewhere for better pay rate.

Great family owned company to work for and working with a great crew.
The good thingsFamily owned and operated business, get to work alongside your mates as part of a great team. Left alone to listen to music and have fun while performing an essential service to the community.
The challengesNothing at all in terms of working at the company, you get your annoying road users and residents but that’s about it.

The job itself is a good job and whilst servicing your collection area you will meet some very nice people in the community , I had people come out with cold drinks on hot days and things like that. The difficult part of working at this company is the cul
The good thingsNot confined to an office and also a few decent workers to make the day a bit easier and bearable to work with
The challengesDealing with lower-middle management is a daily issue due to the lack of care given to the workers under their supervision eg Drivers. Drivers are under pressure to complete runs that are too large of an area to be covered if its to be done in a safe manner. Lack of support for drivers, this company runs on a fear based culture with your job security in constant uncertainty.

    Best workplace ever.
The good things. Fantastic culture, great people, well maintained equipment and management that actually care about you and treat you like a human being, they are a company that actually cares about and looks after its employees. It is a workplace that I actually enjoy coming to every day! Plenty of opportunity for career progression within the organization.
The challengesSalary is average, however plenty of overtime is available.

I had a hard time with some colleagues, but operations team made me feel as though I was appreciated.
The good thingsFriendly and approachable management. Well maintained fleet with good servicing facilities. Permanent employees are well looked after. Would probably work there again, if given the opportunity.
The challengesFitting in with the long time employees was difficult. It is a very cliquey, \"locals only\" environment. Could be intimidating to some.
