What’s it like working at Solo Resource Recovery?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees appreciate the independence of working alone in their trucks, with the freedom to manage their own routes and listen to music. Co-workers are generally friendly and helpful, creating a supportive team environment. Some employees have noted that the equipment and fleet are well maintained with good servicing facilities. Weekly pay is reliable, with opportunities for overtime available to those who want it.

However, there are some potential challenges, such as management support being inconsistent across different levels of leadership. Working hours can be demanding, with very early starts at 4am or 5am and unpredictable finish times that make planning outside of work difficult. There are mixed views on equipment reliability, with some employees noting that trucks can break down and newer staff may be assigned older vehicles. Training could be more comprehensive, with some employees indicating they needed to work things out independently. The workplace culture can be challenging for new employees to integrate into established groups, and workload expectations can be high with large route areas to cover within tight timeframes.
