A good short term position, but not suitable if you want to grow in your career.
The good thingsThe staff - you can make some good friends.
The challengesThe management are terrible, they only care about making money, they do not support the staff nor care about them or their needs. They do not provide support and the training is horrible.

Awesome People & Great Culture for hospitality work
The good thingsGreat Culture & Good Systems Starbucks has thought through processes and it shows in day-to-day employee satisfaction and net results of the team
The challengesHospitality is always going to have its challenges notably difficult customers, unforecast rushes or rostering issues. that being said Starbucks works hard from top management down to mitigate this as much as possible.

Good people to work with, money first culture comes from on up and impacts everything from staffing to morale.
The good thingsStaff on the ground are great. Hours are pretty good. Constant renegotiation of hours is great for uni students and teenagers, not so much for everyone else.
The challengesCommunication, especially between upper management and customer facing partners. Constant evolving of menu to squeeze as much money out of customers as possible. Chronic understaffing, to squeeze as much money out as possible. Upper management has a money focus that is to the detriment of all the workers (and managers) on the ground.
