This company seems to be going to the pack, they don't care of staff, they arnt out in the field
The good thingsThere is now nothing good about this company as there was many years ago
The challengesToo many to name, but mainly the communication is very poor, you really are just a number, supervisors complain to team members about other team members, how do you think they feel when they find out. Supervisors don't take responsibility but lay the blame on the staff who are trying to do their best, frankly they don't care

Full-time positions are significantly underpaid relative to the workload and travel required.
    The good thingsWorking for Hallmark.
The challenges The rostering system is poorly managed, leading to constant stress for casual & full time staff. Employees are frequently pressured to rush jobs and meet unrealistic time targets, which affects quality and safety. Supervisors appear overloaded and underpaid for the level of responsibility they carry. Many work significant unpaid overtime on what is supposed to be a salaried basis. There's a strong emphasis from upper management on avoiding overtime payments (especially following recent changes to casual worker laws), which results in supervisors pressuring staff not to exceed shifts even by a minute. This creates a culture of constant monitoring and pressure over minor time overruns. Support in the field is often lacking you're largely left to manage on your own when issues arise. The overall mentality seems to treat casual employees as easily replaceable: if someone struggles to meet demands, hours are simply reduced and the role is readvertised. Staff turnover is very high!

    Don't do it to yourself
The good thingsFlexibility with start times (choose when you start your day depending on hours in schedule). Some other employees are wonderful and some of the staff in stores you work in make the day a little brighter.
The challengesManagement (or lack of), little communication about changes that WILL affect team, hours reduced if the manager doesn't like you, you are just a number and cannot have personal issues, scheduling often not completed until the night before, hours given to new hires over loyal staff, zero recognition for over and above work... The list of negatives is honestly endless.

Great job for physically fit, self-starters and people wanting a flexible schedule.
The good thingsFlexible hours - can create my own schedule. I get to work with great people in Strikeforce and create relationships with staff members in a variety of different retail companies. It's great not to be micro-managed and just get the job done.
The challengesInsufficient training (sink or swim). Can be hard on the body. All jobs are timed and due to no two days being the same, sometimes the allocated time is not enough to get the job done. Lots of time wasted chasing managers. Work hours can vary from week to week.

Worst experience you could have no help and being thrown under the bus
    The good thingsMeeting other people
The challengesBeing let down by management, being spied on cctv by the stores you work in lifting a lot more heavier items then required to. Also working out of town in other stores stupid time frames to have things completed and to travel too . And after helping out by covering other stores not receiving help
    2 people found this helpful
Human ResourcesThank you for your feedback. As I am sure you can appreciate, the cameras that are in every retail outlet are out of our control. Our Field Team Leaders work diligently to ensure all our staff are supported, and are always open to feedback from their Team Members. How far you are willing to travel is within your own purview when accepting tasks / shifts.

Don't work for them, your mental health is way more important than this company
The good thingsThe only good thing was the friendships I got out of this company.
The challengesShocking communication from everyone, they wanted things done by certain time frames but doesn't help when others don't do their work correctly
    3 people found this helpful
Human ResourcesThank you for your feedback. As I am sure you will appreciate, setting timeframes for tasks to be carried out in, is not in any way unreasonable. Each staff member is responsible for carrying out their own work, and not responsible for work done by others.

Flexible, supportive, and rewarding experience with Strikeforce.
The good thingsI love the flexibility of working with Strikeforce and I enjoy being able to make the products look great on the shelves for clients. The managers a responsive and approachable and take the time to help you when you need.
The challengesOccasionally, there are instances where the tasks I have been assigned conflict with the preferences of the in-store team. In these situations, I am unable to fulfill certain tasks as the in-store team prefers not to make changes or adjustments at this time.

It has been refreshing working for this company and would recommend it for anyone who needs a flexible schedule.

Massive planograms, extremely heavy constant lifting. Unrealistic expectations. Managers don't care about the people sent out to do these planograms.
The good thingsNothing good to report. Not a good company to work for.
The challengesUnrealistic heavy workloads. Most of the planograms require 2 to 3 people. Most supermarkets would refer more then 1 person to do these massive planograms. But strikefore don't care. Will expect 1 person to do the work of 2 or 3. Your told the job will take 3 hours at most your there for 6, or more.

Communication and culture of the company needs to vastly improve.
The good thingsI enjoy doing planograms and making displays look good :) I have met some nice people in stores, and some lovely coworkers that I have teamed up with here and there.
The challenges- Unrealistic time frames for many of the jobs to be completed within. - Astonishingly bad / lack of communication from management - Training was almost non-existent, so if you have not had a job like this previously, you may feel lost - No support from management when experiencing in store challenges - doing merchandising in grocery stores can be physically taxing, as can involve moving many heavy products, repeatedly

    Would not recommend
The good thingsThere are some good people there.
The challengesLeadership team promotes toxic business culture by enabling poor behaviour from a host of individuals within its SLT team. Solving key business failings isn't a priority and merit is gained from hours clocked at the desk rather then quality of output. A lot of tangible investment in business culture such as gym, golf simulator and table tennis table that everyone is to scared to use due to fear of negative perceptions.
