Great place to work and advance your career without the fly in/fly out!
The good thingsOverall its a great place to work. The roster, the work environment and the management team have all been great to me. Its no wonder why there are so many long term employees who are still there from original commencement – Highly recommend.
The challengesNight shifts can be tough - but the 4 days off make that all worthwhile!

Frustrating, draining and with absolutely zero job satisfaction.
The good thingsHaving worked there for more than 18 years, it was the workers next to you that were the only good thing to take out of my time there. Oh and the days off.
The challengesManagement is poor. Have a mentality where everything is the operators fault, no accountability from the top what so ever. Have the idea that just throwing people at a problem will solve it rather than experienced operators. Turnover rate is out of control. Inexperienced casual operators training new starters on machines that operate poorly. Safety is a joke and is widely known through the industry.

Work itself was reasonable. Some areas of operation were ok to work in but some were extremely toxic and dysfunctional. Management know there are issues with supervisors but don’t address poor workplace behaviour.
The good thingsPay was reasonable and safety was a priority.
The challengesSignificant workplace issues - conflict between workers, poor leadership, unfair recruitment processes and pretty much riddle with problems

Very much enjoyed my time here.
The good thingsThe company had a personable feel. Management was local but senior enough to take advantage of opportunities quickly. Located only 20km from the Strand.
The challengesSame as most places. Sometimes difficult to challenge safety culture norms.
