If you care about the elderly don’t work here
The good thingsSundale used to be a great place to work. The people you work with. Great teamwork.
The challengesDealing with management and executives who only care about a profit, not about person cantered care. Was even embarrassed to say I worked for the company. Cutting wages in care centres and not employing agency workers to save money, making the staff they do have put up with shortages. The care for the residents suffers.

I worked here for 7 years on and off and it was a toxic environment. I wouldn't recommend working here to anyone. Full of incompetent staff and management that doesn't action feedback.
The good thingsIt's a fulfilling job because you are tangibly making a difference in the life of the elderly.
The challengesManagement constantly changing, lots of gossip/negativity, new staff not trained properly, lots of staff that consistently perform poorly with no real disciplinary action taken and long-term staff expected to just 'pick up the slack'. Management listen to feedback but rarely take any action.

The good thingsSalary packaging, onsite fee free parking, some of the workers are great.
The challengesOld buildings without adequate ventilation and work space. The organisation is a shambolic yawning mess at the top. They do not act and sweep important changes under the carpet.

Very bad managment and work environment
The good thingsThey paid above average
The challengesManagment or people in charge such as ENs and RNs would never listen to you when it came to a situation with residents which caters would then get into trouble for. RNs would also never care about the residents needs and cares would also be very rude towards residents
