The job was good, but not a relationship fostered by Upper Management
The good thingsAs everywhere, some people are good to work with, and some are not.
The challengesRelationship building between departments. Some people think it is their own empire.

Supervisors that would struggle to complete a 4 square sudoku
The good thingsThe environment you get to work in.
The challengesManagement/supervisors are unbelievably undermanned in basic common sense and problem solving. Very passive aggressive and bipolar. There is one manager in the entire organisation that is suitable for such a position.

Great Cause & Poor Leadership - Glad i'm gone.
The good thingspeople in the regional offices, being apart of an important cause, assisting members in their journeys.
The challengessenior management is the most toxic i have ever experienced. volunteer's walk all over paid staff and it is accepted practice. HR handle nothing and let mistreatment slide. Constantly change obligations to cover gaps due to huge staff turnover. Undermining and under appreciating knowledgable staff.

Poor management, with an unfortunately poor leadership culture
The good thingsGood friendships and flexible working hours
The challengesPoor leadership and management, minimal room for growth or improvement, very obvious gendered favouritism, considerably less pay that others in the industry with equal qualifications

    SO glad I left!
The good thingsPersonally I had a great manager and the ability to work pretty much when I wanted. The work was enjoyable.
The challengesToxic head office environment. Run by a bunch of volunteers who have no idea, who then tell paid staff who are employed for their skills what to do.

Great people, great cause - loved my time here.
The good thingsSalary Packaging and great work life balance. The management were great and working for a NFP doing such great things makes it all worthwhile. Heaps of training and development opportunities.
The challengesCommunication from upper management was sometimes a challenge however direct managers always treated with respect and filled staff in on everything they knew.
