    Good financial and career opportunies but I missed my life at home too much.
    The good thingsLearnt new skills and the hard work will make a man out of you.
    The challengesCleaning everyday and putting up with uneducated co-workers and their negative attitudes and hierarchy becomes a burden. Not enough time off and very boring at camp.

    Hard work is rewarded with a great salary and bonus but false promises of promotions really created a toxic atmosphere for many.
    The good thingsGreat money. Some of the crews I had worked with really were amazing.
    The challengesAs with all mining jobs, being away from home was hard. It was a common tactic for management to lead people to believing they were in for a promotion just to make them work hard, and then promote their friends. This genuinely happened to A LOT of people. I would say that this was one of the leading reasons for people leaving.

    Was a good learning curve but Would never do it again...
    The good thingsPays fairly well. Most the workers are good to get along with. Good machinery and equipment.
    The challengesNot very professionally run by supervisors and management at times. Gotta be in the purple circle with the bosses or you won't get anywhere. Too many unprofessional people higher up with their own ideas and agendas which makes it a frustrating workplace.

    Once in a lifetime opportunity.
    The good thingsEverything, Swick was absolutely fantastic to me when I was working there, I would still be there if not for family circumstances.
    The challengesTurnover of staff was high at times however this was down to the mining downturn so expected. Management at times could be difficult but nothing over the top.

    Was a good experience working underground. But would not go back with swick.

    The challengesManangement is terrible. Minimal efforts to work with employees. All about cost saving. Poor effort in supplying workers with flannies or hoodies. Some supervisors where great though.
