    No clear pathway just chaos.
The good thingsThe customers and some staff, money was ok.
The challengesAs per other reviews, the workplace became increasingly toxic. Constant shuffling within the " Executive Management Team" made for uncertainty. It seemed like there were roles being created just for the title, without the need of relevant skills to back them up, this created a workplace full of managers and not enough workers.

Out of many jobs this is by far the worst treatment I have experienced as a staff member. Beware.
The good thingsSome team members are lovely and I hope that that senior staff and management treat them with the respect and dignity they deserve moving forward. Clients are generally lovely and the direct client facing work could be enjoyable.
The challengesI experienced what I felt was dishonesty, targeted exclusion and hostile treatment by senior staff. Concerns raised with evidence were not reflected in formal supervision or HR documentation and nothing was actioned. Up to 12 reports across 3 clients daily were expected to be completed on that day despite lengthy PM team meetings. Up to 90 minutes commute before start time was considered reasonable with no TOIL. Public bathroom breaks between clients were questioned by senior staff. New frameworks were introduced with little apparent thought and follow up questions were met with vague answers shifting responsibility onto staff. Multiple current and former staff worked beyond paid hours and this is reflected in other reviews. Make a paper trail from day 1, request copies of supervision/HR documentation and do not rely on formal channels to protect you. I sincerely hope clients receive the respect this organisation preaches. If appropriate avenues had listened, this review wouldn't exist

    Could be so much better.
The good thingsSome genuinely great and highly skilled people helping people in need. Good money and perks. Availability of tools and decent vehicles was nice.
The challengesManagement were getting more toxic by the day, unfortunately this meant the more skilled and approachable employees found it too hard to keep on dealing with issues and moved on. Customers are facing huge wait times and out of pocket expense just to cover the large amount of red tape that's in place. Large amounts of self promotion and antagonism from certain managers on a daily basis make for stressful working conditions.

Great place to work, good culture, making a difference to peoples lives.
The good thingsMaking a difference to the lives of the elderly and people with a disability. Great team environment. New leadership team making changes, getting rid of negative employees, those who don't want to work or are stuck in the old ways.
The challengesNot enough government funding is available.

Working at TADWA is a great mix of challenges and opportunities, where we get to grow, innovate, and make a real difference in the community.
The good thingsGreat team and collaboration. TADWA is an exceptional workplace that offers a dynamic and supportive environment, where employees are empowered to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The challengesChallenges such as adapting to new technologies, managing diverse client needs, and balancing workload fluctuations. While these can be demanding, they provide valuable opportunities for growth

There are better places to work
The good thingsThere are some very talented and passionate staff here.
The challengesMismanagement from the top down and lack of transparency has created nervous, uncertainty and worried staff who are unsure of the company's next steps. Pretty regular organisational restructure and lack of continuity makes things difficult.Staff turnover has increased and long serving experienced employees are moving on to pastures new.

Good first Job as an OT
The good thingsThe actual work - working with clients and their families in their home and assisting them to live everyday easier.
The challengesAs a new graduate there wasn't massive amounts of support, and due to our appointments being spread out it meant there was less time for administrative work in the afternoons so lots of paperwork was completed after hours.

    Nice people doing rewarding work.
The good thingsSmall, familiar and friendly environment, very different from large corporates. Helping people with ageing and disability is rewarding work.
The challengesDue to small size, not many career growth opportunities.

As a client, great. As staff, not so great.
The good thingsThe staff genuinely want to help clients and the actual work is fantastic.
The challengesLow staff morale and poor work culture that continues to not be addressed by management. Management often promises change only to tick boxes for reporting. Huge discrepancies in salary between management and staff.

Rewarding but keeps you on your toes
The good thingsA fabulous leadership team that is always looking for ways to make things better for both the staff and the customers. Very focussed on continuous improvement. Making a difference in people's lives and doing work that has real meaning to it.
The challengesSignificantly increased workload over the last 12 - 18 months means that there is quite a high-pressure environment (but allowances are made for this and management is quite understanding and supportive). Some negative and/or resistant attitudes among longer serving staff but these are slowly being changed.

The good thingsBeing able to contribute to valuable community work and working with incredibly talented individuals and teams certainly makes going to work enjoyable!
The challengesA considerable amount of change over the last 12 months has sometimes presented challenges. However, communication is much better, so change will be easier :)
