A good place to work if your a backpacker/ just looking for casual/short term work- not good if looking for a career/good pay
The good thingsYoung and friendly business owner and farm managers. Majority of full time staff were great to work with and at times a lot of fun was had. Got to meet people who were travelling from all corners of the globe.
The challengesHaving young relatively inexperienced owner/manager meant things were poorly organised at times and sometimes guidance was contradictory. Pay rates were based on horticulture award wages (which are quite low)... even if your role never had you touch a plant! There was little accountability for jobs completed as much of the work force were backpackers that would come and go with little care for the outcomes or success of the company.
