Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
The good thingsThe friends I made.
The challengesThe management needs a massive overhaul. Classic boys club. Tells you one thing, does something completely different. No follow up with raised issues. The staff/workers just don’t care anymore. The pay is woeful. The facility is falling apart. They can’t keep staff because the management Cant treat staff with respect. The “monthly” staff lunch would be revoked if the management was annoyed at staff. There was no comment on good work. Just reaction to “bad things”

Waste of a month and a half of my time just to realise they can't manage the basics.
The good thingsWhen they engaged they were polite.
The challengesThe office is in shambles and the onsite medical is a bit of a joke. They say allow up to 2 hrs to complete but it will be closer to 4hrs as they seem to be unable to manage.

Great environment, with friendly people who all work together to get the job done, no matter what the job is.
The good thingsThe people that you get to work with for me stand out as a very rewarding place to work. Has family values in a large organisation which is uncommon
The challengesThere are always improvements being implemented, in the work we work, the systems that support our work and the overall environment. Business improvements are always being added to site, safety, production and wellbeing.

Lots of ups and downs, but overall a decent experience.
The good thingsLots of opportunities to learn, some tickets/courses provided, equal treatment and diverse team, equipment/machinery maintenance and safety is highly prioritised. I went into job with no experience and came out skilled and confident in many aspects. 10/4 roster allows for a decent break between (very demanding) shifts. Made many great friends and contacts through working here.
The challengesWorking 10 days straight is exhausting, very little return or recognition for workers, long unforgiving days for very little pay. Overworked/understaffed through major expansion of workload.

    Read these reviews, all spot-on!
The good thingsPeople - not management.
The challengesManagement (the family) based at Rose Park work on upper levels/floors and don't integrate with staff on lower floors, huge segregation. Excessive hours required, expectation to do hours above and beyond, no WorkLife balance. Facilities new and enticing, open plan offices very tight, squeezed in. Carparking nightmare.

If you want an opportunity to learn, gain great experience and be part of an all-inclusive team, then TFI is for you!
The good thingsI recently started working at TFI. I would like to highlight the following: * Welcoming personnel going the extra mile to accommodate new staff. * Feeling like part of the team from day 1 - no outsider mentality. * Great work-life balance - being able to have a personal life outside of work. * Managers that understands that 'life happens' and you sometimes need to take care of 'personal' responsibilities. * Competent leaders with a 'can-do' attitude * Every day is a new learning curve - individuals on site take the time to make sure that you are up to date * Community upliftment through job opportunities
The challengesI encountered a few challenges: * Community members judging the business based on past experiences and refusing to see the positive contribution that TFI has on the socio-economic development of the area.

A chance to really make it your own, enjoy what you do and can really make an positive impact. Great, supportive and exciting environment
The good thingsSuch a positive working experience so far. I can see the opportunities for career growth and development and opportunities into the future. I get to see multiple sites and see the happy workforce that are dedicated to their work and genuinely enjoy what they do
The challengesThe past is the past. I see the Company expanding and growing and bringing great people into the business to shape the future and support the growth that we are experiencing.

    Cry baby management.
The good thingsThe other workers are energetic, enthusiastic and engaged to do their jobs as well as they are trained to.
The challengesLack of training on the aspects of the job that really require the extra time. Lack of organisation within the company structure. There is much room for improvement and honesty surrounding the roll you are hired for. Loading extra tasks onto people that is not within the advertised job description. Management appear to be nice on the surface but are snowflake cry baby when things don't go their way, needless to say I saw that within the first week and left. Two days after I received a seek email stating " Thomas Foods International has indicated that your application for DELIVERY DRIVER - MORNINGSIDE (QLD) is unlikely to progress further ". Remember, This was after I had already left. That indicates to me there was much more of an underlying workplace culture that I would not want to be a part of.
