What’s it like working at Thomas Foods International?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Thomas Foods International consistently praise their colleagues and co-workers, describing them as friendly, supportive, and creating a positive team environment. The company offers learning and development opportunities through training, tickets, and courses, allowing employees to build skills and confidence. The workplace is recognised as multicultural and inclusive, with diverse teams and equal opportunity employment. Some employees also appreciate the work-life balance and flexibility, noting understanding managers who accommodate personal responsibilities.

However, there are some potential challenges. Multiple employees have indicated that management at various levels could benefit from improvement in terms of consistency, communication, and staff engagement. The workload can be demanding, with long hours, overtime expectations, and physically demanding work in certain roles. Some staff members feel there is limited recognition for their efforts and that compensation could be more competitive. Additionally, facilities and equipment require maintenance and upgrades in some locations, and additional training would be beneficial, particularly for supervisory roles and specific job aspects.

Wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.
The good thingsThe friends I made.
The challengesThe management needs a massive overhaul. Classic boys club. Tells you one thing, does something completely different. No follow up with raised issues. The staff/workers just don’t care anymore. The pay is woeful. The facility is falling apart. They can’t keep staff because the management Cant treat staff with respect. The “monthly” staff lunch would be revoked if the management was annoyed at staff. There was no comment on good work. Just reaction to “bad things”

Waste of a month and a half of my time just to realise they can't manage the basics.
The good thingsWhen they engaged they were polite.
The challengesThe office is in shambles and the onsite medical is a bit of a joke. They say allow up to 2 hrs to complete but it will be closer to 4hrs as they seem to be unable to manage.
