I have been sent to work in places few people go, met interesting people and seen a different side of Australian life, at the same time I have been challenged to develop my training style to meet the demands of students and the changing requirements of a The good thingsI worked in remote communities and worked autonomously but always felt part of the team. I like having the control to be able to change the way I delivered training to best suit each situation. I have been pushed to improve my standards of reporting and record-keeping as required with changes to RTO Compliance. I received accredited and non-accredited training to further develop my skills.
The challengesWhen problems arose I was challenged to think creatively to solve issues and problems. I was not required to work in the main office, but did so when possible to develop networks within the company. One challenge is balancing live as a FIFO worker. Usually I worked no more than 4 weeks away at a time. As a casual worker, it can be difficult to anticipate and balance the needs of the Company with my need for on-going regular employment. thus planning a one week holiday may result in 4 weeks or more without work.
