A great life experience living and working in many countries.
The good thingsGood equal opportunity company to work for. Excellent training is provided for all levels of employees. Salary is good and may have to be negotiated to get a better deal. Most rigs have good crews that work well as a team and Transocean will assist rigs that struggle with team building.
The challengesTransocean is KPI driven and as an employee performance is always under constant review. Some older rigs require a lot of effort to keep running with minimal DT and in most cases rig crews will take on the challenge.

Challenging, valuable and rewarding but with the usual frustrations.
The good thingsBeing on a 28 on 28 off roster the job gives good work to home balance. The employer values safety as its highest priority which makes for peace of mind when being at the workplace.
The challengesAs with any FIFO job, the challenges for myself are being away from home, missing my loved ones. Other challenges would be working in harsh environments / remote locations.
