    VetPartners clinics are poorly run
The good thingsI enjoy the vet industry in general and I love working as a receptionist in it
The challengesI have worked as a receptionist at 2 Vet partners micromanages everything within the clinics to the point that the clinic falls apart. Our staff have left in groups as they are sick of how poorly vetpartners manages their clinics

We're known by our clinic name but part of such an amazing vet community here.
The good thingsOver my career I have worked at four clinics, but the best one so far is my current clinic which happens to be part of the VetPartners network. I have felt more connected and supported here due to a fantastic practice manager, great colleagues who love to bond over cases, expertise and friendship. It's a team that truly cares and we're all very proud of our clinic and what we do.
The challengesNothing comes to mind, we're all respected and have input where we need to.

A toxic environment disguised as a workplace
The good thingsSome colleagues are genuinely supportive and caring, and they’re often the only reason people manage to get through the day.
The challengesThe culture is toxic. Leadership hides behind values they don’t practise, while teams are pushed to exhaustion and left unsupported. Problems are ignored or palmed off, and anyone who dares to speak up risks being sidelined or pushed out. The cycle of burnout and turnover is constant, and the people who genuinely care rarely last.

Id never go back to a corporate.
The good thingsBuilt some lifelong friendships. Some of the CPD opportunities were fantastic, and growth can be good so long as youre willing to follow directions.
The challengesIt’s not about the people—it’s about the numbers. Upper management will support you only when it suits their agenda, with high expectations placed on you for minimal remuneration. People whom you worked with for years will automatically turn when you depart.

The challenges-Work is busy during peak times, but that is common in the vet industry -Some shifts can be long depending on clinic needs

I will never bring my animals to any VetPartners Hospitals and do not recommend this place to work.
The good thingsYou will meet some very nice staff members - unfortunately they are the ones that take their work in this industry seriously and they do not stick around for long.
The challengesUpper management has no idea of what happens in a clinic (my area manager was a tradesman manager before working with us). You have to listen to a lot of non-sense and carry on. Animal welfare is compromised daily. Nepotism is real here - it is actually absurd.

Great place to work and learn!Great colleagues, Great facilities, Great learning opportunities and support. Best outcome for the patient always emphasized. The right amount of challenge. Would prefer if there was a little more surgery. Some difference in nursing teams between the clinics but generally fantastic!

    Low wage and inexperienced management
The good thingsGood colleagues within the clinic setting.
The challengesLow wages and be ready to be managed by people who have never stepped foot in a vet clinic. They preach that support is available, but you are nothing but a number. Every aspect of the job is bombed down to the practice managers, who are paid peanuts. Higher-ups do not understand the industry.
