I would work there again in a heartbeat. The good thingsThe people are great, very helpful, knowledgable and considerate. The building is virtually brand new, with all new equipment very close to transport. With the management I had for my contract role, they gave me the time and freedom to do not only a good job but a great job. Not many places I have worked are interested in, or have the time for excellence, so I was very pleased. I don't say all things should be done to an excellent level, that is impractical, but the work I was doing was laying the foundation for the next 10 years, so I appreciated the freedom - I still completed to schedule by the way.
The challengesI can only speak for my experience. I know that the organisation is currently (2017) going through a lot of changes and not everyone sees the new direction or the need for it. My analysis of the organisation (as a Lead BA) is that more change is required using the staff that have fabulous skills and experience which needs to be channelled in the right directions. My hope is that 2018 will be the year that this happens and WaterNSW becomes a brilliant place to work. It certainly has the makings for this.
