Company will do anything to maximise profits even if it means at the employees expense.
The good thingsNone. Some good people there
The challengesAll experience from the company is gone. Retention of staff is shocking. No gratitude to employees. Most people sitting getting paid and looking for other jobs. Will jump when giving another offer

Don’t bother working for a failing company or industry.
The good thingsYou will enjoy your time off when you get it.
The challengesThis company has always been poorly managed, all the way up from local to regional management. Management is always looking for the best interest of the poorly managed corporate bottom line and goals. Employees are treated as a means to improve their profit at whatever cost that might be. You will be worked until you are burnt out and there is no opportunity for development or promotion. All regional management positions are filled from external or international hires.

When the economy gets better, people will leave. Some new managers here don't deserve the promotion, or send them on a course.
The good thingsPeople on the floor help one another
The challengesGood people leaving and guys with no management skills promoted to lead the pack. Strong office politics. Unprofessional HR and HSE managers.

I am proud to have worked for Weatherford it taught me how a large multi disciplined company works on a global scale.
The good thingsWeatherford has a close team and it was a pleasure to work for Weatherford from 2001 to 2012
The challengesFinancial constraints are making it difficult for expansion at the moment but I’m sure that once this is sorted it will be a great company to work for again.

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
The good thingsThe location, the environment, co-workers. Over all an excellent run company with an even balance of work and social. Always happy people, always greeted with a smile and a wave. I would 100% recommend this company to friends in the future and personally I think anyone would be lucky to have the opportunity to work with the Weatherford Team.
The challengesAs I was in a front of house position, I was up again a variety of different challenges daily. I began working solely as a receptionist but within a number of weeks I was put in control of office supplies, for quite a large office and also I was part of a corporate travel booking team which made me responsible for the booking of co-workers travel and accommodation for business travel not only within Australia but worldwide. I quite enjoyed meeting new challenges.
