Wide Bay Water Corporation is the first local government owned corporation in Queensland. We provide water and wastewater services to the Fraser Coast. The corporation is wholly owned by Fraser Coast Regional Council (FCRC) and governed by an independent Board of Directors working under the Queensland Local Government Act 2009 and the Local Government (Beneficial Enterprises and Business Activities) Regulation 2010.Wide Bay Water Corporation also undertakes the planning, development and operation of water distribution infrastructure in the collection, distribution and disposal of water. As part of this work, Wide Bay Water Corporation has become nationally and internationally recognised as being at the forefront of water-loss prevention and distribution management.
