A great place to learn and experience the motor Industry...with caveats. The good thingsAn industry I enjoyed working in, with a chance to gain experience with a number of different marques. Co-workers were, generally, great, and most of middle management were very supportive. I built up a number of invaluable skills that continue to benefit me three years on, despite not currently working in the industry. I built up my team work skills, and my ability to operate independently.
The challengesUpper management often seemed disinterested in anything but the bottom line, and rarely took an interest in individuals, despite the small size of the company. Personally, I was often overlooked for training activities with manufacturers as I worked in a role that no one else could fill, therefore making it almost impossible for me to have a chance to attend personal development training off-site. The pay, in comparison to the same role in other places, was abysmal.
