    Store Services Manager
    Aug 2025
Bowen QLD 48053 to 4 years in the role, current employee
I was only meant to be here a year, it has now been 4 years, please save me.
The good thingsI like the flexibility to be able to move around Australia
The challengesEverything pretty much there is no training u just have to learn on the way. You are always understaffed. Customers are rude no matter what. Management usually don't care about any issues and want you to work it out yourself.

    Deli
    Oct 2024
Townsville QLD 48101 to 2 years in the role, former employee
I worked in the deli, starting off as casual, then part-time, then casual again.
The good thingsHaving an employee discount for groceries was helpful, especially during the Pandemic. Management also did a weekly lunch on Wednesdays and breakfast Sundays.
The challengesThere was a lot of bulling from Management. When reported there were no investigations just "Manager has told us a lot of stories about you" even though multiple people were reporting the same thing about these managers. If you reported them to HR then your shifts were removed from you, and you were given the bare minimum shifts they could give you without any legal trouble. Once there were too many complaints to ignore, they would just move the managers around the different stores or fire the staff putting in the complaints. Also, only staff that the mangers liked got goodbye parties when the left. The rest just got no shifts until they found another job and left.
